Just like you said to early to know, what I was referring to was the look test they look 50percent better. Linebacker Kissinger, at least 20 lbs bigger. Wilson 2 inches taller, Lowery doesn't even look like the same boy gained both height and size. Patrick more speed and height. This Massy kid he will be one of the top players in the state any time you can get a back 6ft3 220 that has that much speed if you didn't have him the past year you better believe you will be better that is not all they are just different. When you predict what they will do you have to realize that wins and losses have A lot to do with changes in the teams you play they to may have experienced an increase in player personel. IMO Williamsburg is much better.

topnotch Wrote:55 I can help you, Winning is important but what is more important is to be in the game with your child. I promise you if the yellow Jackets loose every game they will always be winners in our hearts and mind, and we will all be right there on the sideline each and every game. I promise that beating Mayfield is not the most important thing on our schedule, The most important thing is that they grow and become caring, compassionate, educated adults when we win we are happy, when we lose, we learn, and grow. We don't set up all night worried about beating or loosing to Mayfield. We felt that it was an honor to compete for the KY state championship. Our kids will carry that with them the rest of their life. We may have the opportunity to come back and we may learn from loosing.
I'm allergic to BS. you know you want to beat Mayfield

Yes i do

The statement was made that the burg was better. I simply want to know if they are 42 points better. I did not say a thing negative about them. I just wonder if yall see them as that much better.

64, I got some quick information for you. I kept trying to make my point to you about just because a 4a leader at back comes in, does not mean that he is better than a top 1a back. Here is some simple stats for you. Marshall Co had a top 5 back in 6a last year. Look at the score of our game. McCracken Co had a top 10 in 6a passer, receiver and rusher. We beat them as well. Fort Campbell had a top ten passer, receiver and rusher in 3a last year. Look at the score of our game. Just because someone is leading stats in their perspective class does not mean they are a better back than any 1a back.

On that day Mayfield won by 42 points. I believe Mayfield played as good as they possible could and Williamsburg played as bad as they possible could. If Wburg and Mfield make it that far what happened last year will be irrelevant.
07-15-2014, 09:56 AM
that depends on wheather we will be playing Beachwood, or Frankfort.
07-15-2014, 09:59 AM
You are wrong as you can be if you think we played our best game that week. We really made some sloppy mistakes at times. We do not normally do that. Guhy threw an interception for 1. He only threw 9 or 10 all year. He only threw I think 13 in 2 years.
07-15-2014, 10:00 AM
There is a distinct possibility that you could be playing one of those teams. But, you can rest assured that we will do our very best to defend the title again this year.

I wonder who will play Williamsburg for the East Pikeville or Hazard ?

Wburg would have to play Hazard 3rd round and Pikeville 4th.
07-15-2014, 10:15 AM
It will come down to Pikeville, Hazard, or Raceland, in that exact order. Pikeville has made some additions on the line that should make then even more capable of winning the East. Hazard returns quite a bit, though they lost a great reciever and LBs. raceland has added a few new faces as well. Namely a few sizeable lineman, who are still very atheletic and mobile. Raceland should still be a year away from making their run, but with the strides they have made with their line this offseason, in addition to what they retun in their skill guys, I wont be suprised to see a rematch of last years semis. Either way, whoever comes out of the east, imo, will give the west a much better game this season. I think all of the contenders for the east are going to be better football teams this year. More speed, better defenses, more balance offensively, all four of the easts district champs have improved. Lets get the season started im tired of saying what if and maybe and should be.

And I was refering to Pikeville, Hazard, Raceland as teams that could/would knock Wburg off.
07-15-2014, 10:39 AM
Scottie I hope we do play you for the right to go to BG, Raceland is so much like the Burg, History, size of school community. A lot of similarities, You people were nice to have visit our school and community very good fans,

Isn't it good to feel the excitement of another season about to take flight? By the way Top Notch, I seriously and whole heartedly want you to know that I'm not disrespecting your team. This is supposed to be about analysis. I just want to know if y'all think they are that much better. We gave nothing at this point to gauge things from than what the locals are seeing. I feel like our situation has gotten much better than we had anticipated. I feel like we should be in great form with a couple questions to be answered.
07-15-2014, 10:43 AM
And we'd like to return the hospitality and get some sweet, oh so sweet, revenge. Hell i may serve 64 by the time its all said and done.

He don't let anyone borrow that stupid sign. I still haven't stuck it where I wanted to.

Here's another bit of info. Both teams hae blue in their past. Before we were the Rams, we were the Chinville Ramblers then later became the Raceland Ramblers after "Race Land" defaulted on tax dollers and they moved everything to Louisville and lexington. Original colors were Royal Blue and Orange. The name "Ramblers" came about by not having a home field or court. Oce thise were founded back in the 30s i believe, we became the Rams and the new colors were orange and black. Interesting that there are so many common threads amongst the two squads.
And 64, I was refering to who it will be to face Williamsburg i the region. Obviously if its Hazard in the semis, Williamsburg will be eating thanksgiving leftovers and singig the blues with whoever else gets knocked out. Your sleeper team Paintsville is currently without Phelps and Belcher. Phelps is likely out for the entire season and Belcher broke his hand in a non football related inury. Paintsvilles fate lies in the HAND of Belcher...pun was absolutely 100% intended.

Mayfield also used to be blue. I bet at one time just about every school in Ky had blue in their colors. We are in UK land after all.

I for one would love to see Stoops and Co right the ship that has been sinkig so ling within Commonwealth Stadium. I think if he can shut the borders down and get the few LEGIT D1 kids we have in the state, it will be a start of good things to come. I'll settle for a bowl game in consecutive years and a better tha 500 record in the coference. Idk if we can ever compete with Bama, LSU, SC, or Florida on a consistant basis, but is it so much to ask that your home state team be able to defeat Vandy, Tenn, New comer Mizzu, Arkansas, or the rest? Come on man! If football season doest start soon im goina go nuts and start serving people! I swear it!

If UK ever does improve in football First they must get rid of all the Rats in that big old fancy building that operates on a budget where all the board members are hand picked and a unlimited source of funds yes you got it KHSAA. They always look for a reason to keep a kid from playing and never look for a way to help him be elgible. We in KY produce fewer D1 college players than any state in the USA Kentucky has fewer KY. boys on full grant and aid than any state funded Institution in the USA. Just look at the program you buy at commonwealth. We have more players from Florida than Kentucky. I have A reason to know about the UK football program. There is hope, there are a few legislators in the KY general assembly that told me they were looking in to it. BY the way it didn't use to be that way. I could write a book on this subject. players at UK used to be from Pineville, Madisonville, Middlesboro, Bell High, Shelbyville, owensboro, Paducah Tillman, Corbin had 9 boys on scholarship over a two year period. they came from All parts and corners of the state. They came from all over the state, Kentuckians from all over Ky. Traveled to Lexington to watch Ky. boys play the Tennessee boys and we won our share. There is a reason. Sure we had out of state boys When we got them they were usually very good. But the Core was Ky. boys. Until we get rid of the KHSAA we will never see those days again. The KHSAA is now trying to get control of our Middle School programs if this happens it will be the worst thing that could possibly happen to our athletic programs in KY.<

I'm not sure what khsaa has to do with uk recruiting in state boys. I do find it odd that we have do few though. Esp when you consider how regularly we beat very good teams from Tn, In and Il.

the teams spoke of in this thread have less than avg coaching along with lower than less ability, the defense is decent but can you score points with a defense? no, thier snap is terrible as ive seen and they run as if bow legged was in style.
