Boyle County @ Lexington Catholic 10/3
#1
Boyle County(6-0) travels to Lexington to take on Lexington Catholic(3-3). I don't need to explain how big this game is. This should be an interesting match-up! So, with that said.....

Who wins? And why?
#2
I think Boyle's defense gives them a big edge in this game so I'll take Boyle for the win.
#3
I'll take Boyle County as well(go figure). But I really do believe that Boyle County will do it's part of defense and the offense will put up enough points to win. I got the Rebels by 10!

What does the run game for Lexington Catholic look like?

Jones is a workhouse out of the backfield, and the quarterback likes to run it quite a bit ,too.

21-20 Boyle.

I'm aware of the quarterback. Thanks!

If the Knights can mix things up good I believe they have as good of a shot as anyone.

Boyle's defense will be too much for Catholic. 35-14

their running back Jaylen Jones has had well over 100 yards rushing in every game this season so they seem to be a balanced team as usual. they've played some pretty good competition, but their defense seems a little weak.

LC defense is weak as it's usually is year in and year out. This season specially with all the injured starters. 3 out 0f 4 LB are hurt, 1 cornerback is/ was out, their top sub at LB and FB is out so it has been tough... But with all this talk BC stopping LC's offense. I think it won't be that easy. Jalen Jones has rushed over 100 yards in every game. I believe avg 130 a game??? So if BC would put 7-8 in the box to stop the run, who's going to guard the 4 to 5 wideouts that LC implement? Because we all know that Ryan can pass. Just a though. I believe that it will be a lower scoring game 14-17. Take your pick.

I agree on a low scoring game.

I look for a low scoring game with maybe several field goals. Boyle's defense is tough. Catholic won't score on them like they did on Mercer last week. I pick Boyle 21-15

Stats from the khsaa web site
Boyle has scored 193 points and has given up 59 points in 6 games
Lex Cath has scored 210 points and given up 207 in 6 games

Should be a great game! Go Rebels!

Yes it should be! I hope it's not though. I would like to see the Rebels destroy the Knights!

There hasn't been a blow out or destroying by both teams to each other in quit sometime. Even the year that Lex Cath was down, I believe it was Kyle Bolin sophomore year and LC only went 7-5... Their regional match up was only won BC by 7 or 10 pts. I believe Boyle Co was undefeated and won state that season. My point is throw away the records, It's a rivalry game, no blowing out anyone, just hard played football.

I'm shocked that Taylor County got over 30% of the votes last week for a win, and this week Catholic has 7%. IMO this game is 50/50.

My point was simply that I personally would like to see Boyle County destroy Lexington Catholic. Do I think it will happen? No!

I believe Boyle County beat Lexington Catholic 42-10 three or four years ago.

October 8th 2010 the Rebels defeated the Knights 42-10. I thought I remembered correctly!

YES, your partially right. The regular season was 42-10, but I was talking about Lex Cath season being only 7-6 that year and in the playoffs, it was 35-45. Which backs up my statement about throwing away the record. When it counts ie. for the district title or the regional title. It's a heck of a match up.

I was 100% right . You said there was no blowout in quite some time. Nothing mentioned about playoffs.

I think this game will be fairly close and I give Lexington Catholic a decent chance to beat Boyle.

This has become one of the really good rivalries in Kentucky.

Why do you get offended or say something like that " Go Figure "? It's just an opinion and his own personal opinion. Should he say the same about your pick or Boyle County's pick? Plus not to mention, he said a chance to win.. Not Lex Cath will go out and win.
