Have no idea what you are talking about, sounds like you may have made that one up. I sure granny bear is speaking from the heart.

:lmao: You might want to do a little research on the one dawgie. It was made during the LC/Pikeville regional tournament game when Pikeville put a thumpin on good ole' LCHS.
I believe it was one of the MANY "Alumnus" brothers that came up with that one too...Cant tell you which account that one was though, there has been so many that it boggles the mind trying to keep up with them all.
Actually that one should be archived in the "best of" LCHS excuses forum in the #1 slot.

And BTW, Granny is speaking from a "broken" heart.

lchsalumnus Wrote:just a bad game on the mound. the first couple of lc pitchers just couldn't find the strike zone. seemed like they let the umpire get in their heads. pretty tight zone for a high school game if you ask me. lc had a golden opportunity to blow the game open in the 2nd. bases loaded and nobody out. the top of the order up too. manage to get just one run out of that. kid for boyd hit a 3 run homer in 6th inning with some help from the gusty winds but a homer nonetheless. hopefully the lc pitchers start challenging the strike zone a bit more. i think they ended up with 8 or 9 walks in the game and most of those were in the first 5 innings.
on a positive it seemed like the lc bats don't mind someone throwing some gas. boyd brought in a guy pumping it in there at least mid 80s if not higher for the final 2 innings. lc hit several rockets and had the bases loaded in the 7th against him.

Don't see anywhere that he claims the wind cost them the game, sounds like to me he is saying that lc had the bases loaded several times but couldn't get the runners in. The lack of timely hitting and pitching cost them to lose. I can't believe that anybody that claims to know anything about baseball does not know wind is a factor in the distance a baseball will travel. My 8 year grand daughter understands the theory, it is just amazing to me how the supposed great baseball minds on here can not crasp the concept.
Still have to say granny bears post best ever!!

What is really amazing is how efficient all of you are at reading through an entire post, and at the same time being able to omit things from your memory as soon as it is read. That is a pure skill and nobody can say you guys haven't mastered it. If you need to be #1, that is definitely something you all are head and shoulders above everyone else at. You all have worked as a team to reach a goal, and developed your craft very nicely. Congrats!!

After careful reading of most of your post 1974 there's only one conculsion a person can come to regarding your supposed experience in baseball and that it, as you are, simply a JOKE! No other way to put it.

Haha! Well I think when I was playing in college I went to a couple classes, and one of those I remember was a psychology course. Every time I read a reply or a comment from the LC Nation it reminds me of the chapter we covered dealing with superiority and inferiority complexes.

Of course, it could always be a case of me being off my medication. I'm up to 12 pills a day, so you never know, I could be losing my baseball knowledge.

Played in college= joke. 40 + years coaching = bigger joke. Joker you may should have taken a physical scince class at jr. College you may have learned the multiple vectors applied to a baseball when struck by a bat and how they effect the flight of the ball. If you ever played t-ball it would surprise me.

Joker i think you mean down to 12 pills a day, hopefully if you can get down to 6 or 8 your mind will return to reality.

Since you claim to be a Pike Co. native, unless you went to school at either Pikeville High School or Belfry , there is a good chance that you didn't play T-Ball yourself..lol
And I doubt that you went to Pikeville, because if you graduate from there they teach you how to spell before you leave..So, that kinda rules you out there....And I'd be willing to wager that Belfry people wouldn't claim you even if by chance you did happen to go there. Sooooooooo......

So, tell us what exactly what your baseball resume consists of there dawgie boy that makes you such the expert, that you can put down a 40+ year college experienced guy?
Stay tuned everyone, this should be good.

Or just plain morons?

I don't know anything about anyone's experience or who went to school where. One thing I do know that where ever dawgfan went to school they must not have had spelling as one of their subjects. Unless it was a foreign language.
03-10-2015, 01:35 AM
I think it's a long lost dialect of ancient pig latin. They taught that stuff in Pike Co. for years, ya know.

It is actually only 39 years and 4 of those years were spent at the high school level.
