From "Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom"
"The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God. The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg... Reason and free enquiry are the only effectual agents against error." - T. Jefferson

I'd bet Jefferson would take that back after watching one news cast from 2017. Legs are broken, loved ones drowned in cages, stabbed to death, run over by vehicles of one kind or another, flown into the world trade centers, beheaded, shot, blown up or burned alive. And according to Pew Research, US pockets are picked each year when over 16 billion is spent in counter terror efforts.

"The legitimate acts of government...injurious to others"
Thus, the US government's efforts against ISIS and other terror groups worldwide.
However, the overwhelming mass of Islam's followers live lives not injurious to others. They neither break legs nor pick pockets.

Well, even if you'd been someplace other than whitesburg or the internet you still wouldn't have the first clue about it.

You haven't established the first time I was mistaken yet, much less again. All you're certain of is that you disagree with me on so many things because of your cultic indoctrination. But back to tacks, that trip over to Hazard doesn't count.

Your "legend in your own mind" status is legendary. For a dude that quotes from the sources you do to trot out "cultic indoctrination"? Priceless.

Well in your case, my hitting the target is simply a matter of pulling the trigger. Yours, is very much a 'target rich' environment.

If you are advocating for the eradication of Islam, under the economy of grace, under our Constitution, your "admiration" of Jefferson is a sham. You like strutting about, feathers fluffed, screeching about the yard. If that's how you get your jollies, far be it from me to disabuse you of your illusion.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think for one second that God, Who through the sacrifice of His own Son on the cross and Who said the following in Acts 4:10-12 (KJV)
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
will not eradicate Islam when He brings in His Kingdom?
But you did get something right, even if it was by accident. It is far from you alright, but as I say not because you have right on your side or even that you could put up a coherent argument. It is far from you because grace won't afford false gods under any economy. Much less the Keynesian fire sale lost in the vast space of that cranium of yours. Listen, I understand that you are a frustrated Democrat with little to do but whine for the next 16 years. Though in your case there would seem to be an abundance of 'cheese' to go with it. But the ratio of those on here that agree with you are very similar to the ratio of voters who will be supporting the conservative cause. Might as well get used to it.

And there it is: "WHEN Christ comes in his kingdom." A hyper-realized eschatological perspective says, "Now."
Donald Trump won the 2016 election. Conservatives are doing well at the polls. Pendulums swing, and, I agree, Republicans have the mojo. You have the platform to crow a little. However, the "16 year reign" is the subject of a Pine Mountain Grill wager. I think you'll be buying.
Listen, I'm not particularly frustrated. The nature of politics is rising and falling tides, ups and downs, defeats and adjustments. I do hope that the current administration does not drag the United States very far down the road of isolationalism.

The US needs isolationism. We need to take back our country physically and culturally from the vile foreign influences that seek to degrade and mongrelize us.

You know every time you get ready to say something, we get the fanfare, the drum roll and a few big words by way of build up, and then you just disappear leaving everybody saying, huh?
And here it is: Luke 10:8-9 (KJV)
8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
When Christ was born and walked among men here on this earth, that was the beginning of His kingdom. But as usual with you, you're looking for some nitpicking way to deny the obvious or that which is common knowledge to the saved. With His coming the kingdom is established, it's just that He also allows the enemies of God to flourish now too, because that is the whole purpose of this world. As I have mentioned before, it is merely a place where all men play out their lives in order to demonstrate who they really are, to choose for or against repentance before God. This is the choosing ground, The Lord already chose us by bearing our sins and dying on the cross. Now we all must make our choice, for or against Him.
The point that you dodged as you always do in your continual denials that we can know the times and/or the mind of God in judging current events, was in your sticking up for Islam (supposedly because it has given billions in the name of religion, someplace to go waste their lives), you bolster a lie. The Lord is not tolerant of Islam, just as He is not tolerant of any sin that men choose over Him. From drunkenness to chasing skirts, there are vices aplenty for men to pursue here. God calls all that the lust of the flesh. But there are 10 commandments. Care to consider for a moment what number one might be? "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."
We need to be isolated. God warned Israel not to intermarry among the heathen because He knew the Jews would begin to worship the idols of their hosts. 2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
Globalism, of which you are part of the defense and avid propagation, is of the spirit of antichrist. We're already fighting off Sharia Law in this country for bowing at the altar of diversity as things stand. Define irony, who knew the Statue of Liberty would one day be the torch bearing symbol of globalism? But in the days of Nebuchadnezzar when the entire world was under one government, one man pulled every string and that was of course, king Nebuchadnezzar. Thus we have come full circle, everything started off under one man, everything will end up under the control of one man, and he is antichrist. The forces that bring all of this about are nothing new, men have the tendency to want to be led in this way and it is about to happen again. The big qualifier for us, is in realizing that the world wide data base as has been amply defined in recent days by the media, will ensure that there will be no place for any man to hide. His control will be oppressive beyond imagination. God is bringing about an end to man's time here.
Daniel was a man whom the Lord 'greatly loved.' When the angle came to him to reveal the particulars or the culmination of the end of mankind here on this earth, there were two signs given for he (and us) to make judgment of God's timetable, that were indeed profound.
Daniel 12:4 (KJV)
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
This is the time in which we live and as has been said, where knowledge was very recently doubling every century, very soon now owing to the buildout of the internet among other things, knowledge will double every 13 hours or even less. I mean, who can even comprehend knowledge doubling every 13 hours?
No, it's the end alright. And The Lord has in His wisdom, chosen to use His servants in this age (Christians) to reach out to the nations, calling out His people from among them. There is no oneness, no brotherhood of man to be celebrated, outside of the Church. You've been spending a lot of time arguing for the doomed Sombrero. And make no mistake, the ministry of The Holy Spirit is in part to enlighten, empower and thereby protect God's people from the deception which has obviously overtaken most of the inhabitants of this world.

Once again, thank you for your brief remarks. Humanity, indeed, now has the capacity to destroy itself. "Babylon" ever raises its flag against the one true God. However, in "will you now restore the kingdom" fashion, even sincere believers get a hyper-realized eschatological "get ahead of the Lord" fervency and call for a human-initiated eradication of Islam. That is what this is about: not "if" but "when" and by Who's hand and command.

Nope, that's what you're trying to make it about; As in your little 'co-opted into the liberal fold' line of rationale as it applies to 'your redefinition' of Gut's position on the matter. He can speak for himself I'm sure.
There will be no human initiated attempt at eradicating Islam. Such an affront would be as illegal as it would be immoral. God does not call for the eradication of Islam, He does however, call for His own to get the message of 'the good news' out to the nations as I clearly said and you clearly ignored. The elect are called out from among the nations, of every kindred, every color, every sin which holds them slave and frankly, every false religion. That is the Lord's purview and His sovereign will. Ours is to but serve.
