Depends on who perry has playing.
At full strength perry may give them a game.

Perry needs to have long sustained drives that they score on.. try to keep SW offense off the field and keep there defense on.

I don't think Southwestern is as good as advertised.
That being said, I think they beat Perry Central by a couple TDs.

If we are on our A game this will be closer than alot think. But if I have to predict I say SW by 2 TD.

They have several players that can beat you at any point in time. A RB that has over 1600 yrds, a WR that is the 7th fastest kid in the country. A QB that is very talented. A sound D as well. I'm not one that try's put anything off on the stripes. But I know 2 games where it was a bit crazy. You can watch tape and see how crazy some where. But anyhow I don't think Perry has a chance. They hadn't played any teams that is a high rank team. Did they even with any games in district play?

Let's unpack this, because there is a lot to unpack.
1.) So you saw them a couple times and know of two games where they got cooked by the refs? Even though you aren't one to put things off on the refs?
2.) Congrats on the 1600 yd rusher. Perry will have one once they add stats from their last game.
3.) Seventh fastest kid in the country? That's oddly specific and equally unbelievable. But hey, that's cool.
4.) Southwestern's schedule isn't much better than Perry's. They've really not proven a whole lot to me and seem like a big question mark.
5.) Yes, Perry won a district game. You can't make the playoffs in a 5-team district without winning one because of math and stuff.

When you play McCreary Co and other teams. They should.3} If you do keep up with these things and the player, school, you know how to research. 4} REALLY

Zaga, you don't have to be impressed with anything Southwestern has done, we can tell you don't get out very much if you don't know who J.P. is or that Perry County's schedule is similar to Southwestern.
yes the kid is really fast he proved it as a sophomore (last year) when he turned in the fastest 100m in the state not far off from a guy named Tyson Gay. He was presented a state championship ring last week before the game, its not a hand time or one of those old school "I swear the kid runs a 4.4, I timed him myself with uncle Joe and a tape measure." They do keep specific national rankings for track so it can be that specific however I think the announcement at the game said 7th fastest all-time in the state of Kentucky, not the country. I don't know where he ranks, maybe I will ask him or the track coach this week.
Perry may upset the Warriors, its an interesting match-up one that Southwestern hasn't played yet this year, but don't get on here and say that Southwestern's schedule isn't much different than Perry's.
Southwestern non district:
Northwest Clarksville Tn (nobody knows about them I'll give you that one)
Dunbar (terrible you can have that one as well)
Madison Central
Madison Southern
Henry Clay
Central Hardin
Lexington Catholic
The last 5 are not comparable in anyway to
McCreary
Breathitt
Knott
Clay
Pike County
Prestonburg (only one that is comparable but not to the last 5)
Perry has had a great year, I don't want to take anything away from that.
I'll go ahead and answer number 1. on the unpacking list because while there may have been some bad calls this season it wasn't why they lost any game. You can question whether a kid was out of bounds or not but the kid still made a heck of a play and it's a judgement call at Southern. Southwestern made a change at QB at the end of the 3rd quarter against Henry Clay and against Madison Southern they were working the kinks out of a new QB.

Listen, I'm just saying Southwestern is a question mark to me. Perry was a question mark all year and I think they've proven they're a decent team. Not an elite team or anything - but that they can hang with the Whitley Counties on a good night and they're capable of laying eggs like they did against Harlan County. Typical Perry Central football, sadly.
I'm aware of Vaught's speed - but to say he's one of the top ten fastest kids in the country is just false. You know and I know it, so I went ahead and pointed it out. You said yourself he was #7 in the state (which is an admirable accomplishment to say the absolute least). I was just busting your buddy's chops because I've made a career out of it on here.
As for the non-district stuff, I'm not going to argue with you. But I think that Southwestern's district is weak. I think North Laurel, Whitley and Harlan County are better than any district opponent SW has and once you take that into consideration, there isn't much difference in the strength of both team's schedules. Notice all of Southwestern's losses were when they played the teams you put up for comparison and all of Perry's losses were against the teams you omitted for comparison. I know you don't pick your district games, but you still have to line up against them and play the game.
I run my mouth here a lot and I eat a lot of crow for it - but I'll predict that Southwestern is the only team from that district to survive the first round of the playoffs.

Pulaski may be a little better than we all think, they played a brutal schedule:
#1 Danville
#1 Wayne (Pulaski had a touchdown taken away on a fumble recovery and inadvertent whistle)
#3 Corbin
#3 Collins
#7 Madison Southern
#6 Southwestern
and an Allen County-Scottsville team that is just outside their rankings.
They struggled with this schedule but had they played North or Perry's schedule their record would be a lot different. Now will their QB play? That's where I think it gets interesting and leaves the door wide open for Harlan. No doubt that Harlan has the best win in the entire region, same could have been said for Pulaski IF, and I know its an if, the whistle wasn't blown.
We're both homers to our district, I know I have a hard time judging your district based off of non-district schedule (especially North Laurel). I do think if Harlan plays in the playoffs like they did against Ashland then they can make a run at it.

I don't try to be a homer. I'm just a skeptic. But I enjoy the back-and-forth on here.
I think Perry loses this game by at least 2 TDs (but as one poster mentioned above, if Perry moves the ball and scores this one will not get out of hand). My gut tells me Harlan County goes to Pulaski and gets a big win. The Harlan County playing right now is a different team than the one that started the season. I think North Laurel and Whitley County coast.
I could be wrong on all four predictions, but that's just what I think happens.
I'll throw this one in for my buddy Easy Wind up there. Hazard wins BIG over Pineville.

I like seeing all the schools in the county do well it just creates a football atmosphere but I have the same gut feeling you do on the Pulaski/Harlan game. I think the other two games will be close at half with the higher seeds pulling away late. South and Whitley intrigues me if South can figure out how to get several stops they may give Whitley all they want. If South can't figure how to stop them they don't have a shot, Whitley will be able to stop South several times.

Just to put cure my curiosity... I looked it up.
Golden Spirit's numbers reflect what's on the national Track and Field website for high school boys: 10.65 100m and 21.33 200m
That being said - Nationally, that ranks him tied at 113th for the 200m and tied at 279th for the 100m this year.
There's a little more than a half-second difference in between him and the national leader in both events.
That's elite level speed and I want everyone to understand I didn't mean to take anything away from JP. The kids a gamer and I've seen him take a few screen passes the distance by putting the burners on. I just love getting everyone riled up like we have on here.
I'll be in Pulaski for this one Friday (Thank God. Right, Easy Wind?). Good luck, Warriors.
