Knew it wouldn’t take long for the statisticians to start posting.

Boyle had the best coach, player and team.

They had almost two coaches per player, or were they mostly statisticians, who knows....lol
#35
5 turnover advantage. 4 of our turnovers unforced. You only win by 17. Smith is an outstanding player for sure. But you are by no means this world beating juggernaut that you all pound your chest about. You are very good solid team who is well coached and executes well.
#36
Not to mention the 14 point swing on the pick 6. Instead of a 17-0 game it ends up 10-7. That by the way was a terrible terrible call.

All I know is they are smiling all the way up the mountain parkway tonight and will be in Corbin next Friday.

I agree. Execution wise....Boyle was definitely the better team...especially on offense. QB is a nice player...who seems to play within himself. Nice passer and his accuracy is spot on.

I Think Central will have something to say about that but we’ll see and by the way Belfry did hand it to them on a silver platter you need to go think them lol

Agreed. That was a momentum changer. Couple that with fumbles deep in our own territory and that spells disaster when playing a good team

Haven't lost a single game this year! I guess we're just above average which means what for Belfry?

Congrats to the Rebels and congrats to Belfry on a great season.

Done talking to idiots who can’t objectively watch a football game. Congrats guys you are the best team ever in the history of the world with satin jerseys and Air Force one to fly you to games flat screen TV on sideline Jesus as a coach and hall of famers on both sides of the ball. And 5 statisticians who don’t miss anything.

I have no doubt if Belfry goes up 17-0 which they should have, they would have won this game. All I heard was how all those d1 players would kill Belfry.Didnt happen. You guys need to think Belfry players for early Christmas Gift...

Hope my phone don’t die. This is the most fun I’ve ever had on a drive back home. I was told the stat guys are sharping there pencils as we speak for next weeks big game.

Not sure about best coach. I will say Smith did show some sportsmanship in the last 2:30 of game. Boyle could have probably tacked ion another score....but chose not too.

Nope we got beat by a far superior team and coach and stat crew. I was blown away with how wonderful and amazing they were. It was a blessing to just be on the same field.

Congrats to the Rebels. You guys have a great team, all around solid. Good luck the rest of the way. Really proud of the Pirates, just came up a little short. Still had a really nice season. They came to play tonight though. It was awesome watching my son, the center #55 Ethan Wolford, battle with big Wilson Kelly all night! Those young men battled in the trenches.

Want to know who the first person was to message my son tonight after the game to congratulate him on a great game and season? It was WILSON KELLY! This young man took the time to send my son a message giving him props. Talk about first class and great sportsmanship! Shows alot about the young man and the kind of program that Coach Smith runs at Boyle. That meant alot to my son and me. Wilson Kelly, I have all the respect in the world for you young man. Good luck big guy.

It’s pretty simple really. Belfry came out and dominated the LOS and the defense was holding in that first quarter, the only thing that kept changing that fact was fumbling the ball away 4 times. As with any game, turnovers swings big MO. You don’t put the ball on the carpet and the pirates are up by at least 17 with all the momentum and confidence to keep it rolling. It’s not like these 4 fumbles was caused by the defense, Belfry flat out laid the ball down and said here take it. But guess what? Turnovers are part of the game as well, and after a turnover most good teams make you pay and that’s exactly what Boyle did. It wasn’t a secret who they was going too, everyone that knew anything about Boyle and was paying attention knew exactly where the ball was going. Boyle’s running game wasn’t a big factor so you have to know that the ball is going to Smith and be ready for it. Sometimes you’ll run across one that it doesn’t matter if you know it, you’ll still get burned. As was the case tonight. I’m sure if Smith ends up at UK we’ll all be cheering for him because he is one bad receiver. This leaves Belfry left with a lot of what if’s, but it doesn’t matter at this point. We had our chance and blew it. Congrats to Boyle, and congrats to the pirates on a good season that just came up a little short.

I expected something a little more colorful than that. A bit thinned skinned there and somewhat obtuse in that observation. I doubt you're done talking however...

rick2517 Wrote:Like "know1" said, Belfry came out very juiced up and determined to show that they could play with Boyle. But as the game progressed, the better team started to take control. I think in the 4th quarter, Belfry was resigned to the fact that this was going to be their last game of the year. But Belfry has a heck of a team. They dominated Boyle in the 1st quarter. Boyle could not stop their running game early. Now, on to Corbin.
Why does Boyle have to go to Belfry and then to Corbin. They have an undefeated season. I don’t understand
