As of right now the qb is Cole Shelton but that puts him playing both ways and Iâm not sure Haddix will want his qb playing OLB too. A few sophomores gonna have to step up this year for Kroger field to happen, itâs not impossible, Boyle Co sophomores did it couple years ago. There has been some quality coaches hired a couple former head coaches to boot but like I said Tommy Greer wonât be easily replaced everyone knows that...Iâm enough of a man to admit Boyle and Johnson Central are the favorites but I think we got a chance and as long as our kids play hard Iâll be there decked out in Red got a couple extra shirts to fit you..

Bull got out! Wrote:Cole Shelton is the man unless his uncle Brett Favre comes out of retirement. Tuff as nails and got a cannon for a arm. Looks like a train when he runs. 9 players benching over 300lbs. Saw it with my own eyes. Got a x factor in the middle is what I call him on the line D line and O line. Scared me to watch, lol. Cant say anymore but they are ready. Oh yeah, want have to worry about reminding anyone about how far they make it. Might have to figure out how to stop the Redhound xpress once it gets going. Good luck everyone, cant wait, hurry up season.

The Rebels Senior Class in 2017 was solid but lacked skill kids which the sophomore class provided. It was a perfect match. This year the junior and sophomore classes will provide help too.

By now I donât think I have to tell you that our senior class isnât very deep, although every kid in it is very talented they just donât have numbers. That being said the classes behind them are solid and very talented and will have some big shoes to fill. Thereâs an outside possibility a few freshman could see varsity time if they show up, as always Iâm ready for some football regardless...

The East:
District 5 Boyle
District 6 Harrison or Scott
District 7 Corbin
District 8 Johnson Central
.
Once seeding comes out. Central has the toughest Non District Schedule not knowing how this seeding really going to play out afraid the out of state teams % may hurt their seeding.
Corbin I think has the toughest over all schedule followed by Boyle. Seeding In the East could be
1. Corbin
2. Boyle
3. Johnson Central

How much do win/loss records come into play. In your scenario, let's say Corbin loses a game or two but Boyle doesn't?

If going into seeding Corbin could be 11-1 Boyle 12-0. The don't know factor is these out of state games. Johnson Central has the toughest non district schedule They could be 11-1 or 12-0. Going to be interesting to see how some of this teams play week 10. A game like Belfry vs Central hasn't meant anything but bragging rights, best team in Eastern Kentucky. Now this could decide if Central gets 1 seed or 2 seed with another 3rd round Home playoff game or 3 seed being on the road against a Corbin or Boyle. 3a Bell doesn't have a Corbin in regular season they could be 12-0 or 11-1 Bell get the 1 seed due to a Belfry L to Central in week 10. or Ashland with 1 seed

I thought the 3rd round the rpi seeding would be 1-4 in the east and 1-4 in the west, so if that is true, Central cant play Corbin. Then from what I read, is there another reseeding in the 4th round with the final four teams? Im trying to figure it out as well, and that's what I read off the WKYT write up earlier in the year. If I read it right.

I see you were meaning Johnson Central, then that is correct

It looks like Corbin, Knox , Lincoln and Wayne Co. Is the most balanced district? JMO
Johnson Central will walk thru their district. Boyle Co. will dominate their district.

Wayne Co is a solid team every year and Knox has continue to improve.

I think Central or Boyle will have the toughest schedule, and I didn’t think the seeding started as far as the rankings go till the final four teams were left, I believe that’s how it was originally drawn up.

After teams replay their district teams again. The 4 teams from the east gets seeded then the 4 teams in the west get seeded. So your still having to play east bracket and a west bracket but after 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3 If the 2 wins and the 1 seed wins. Possibility GPR rating change the 2 could go to 1 seed and get home field advantage

If that happens it would be a shame. How could the 1 seed at that point, win the playoff game put in front of them and then get penalized with a road game the next week.
I would think the ratings would stop after the regular season, right?

If I remember reading correctly when it came out, the ratings would continue through the playoffs as well. Iâll see if I can find that article on by the man who just covers KHSAA.
I could have read it wrong, but it seems like I remember reading it and thought the same thing, why would they continue it through the playoffs??

Hereâs the thing about tough schedule, you have to win games with tough schedule. If your 6-4 starting playoffs with a tough schedule, will it help you in ratings. If your 10-0 regular season with average schedule, do you get higher ranking than 6-4 team..
You mark it down, this will happen this season..

It seems theyâre going in the right direction with ranking the sectionals, but almost clueless on how they will do it. Or theyâre being very quiet about it. There needs to be a set guideline to go by thatâs public. That way it doesnât turn into a âNCAA tournamentâ type thing every year where they use different metrics to get who they want.
You mark it down, this will happen this season..
