They have a long way to go, but it's plain to see that they are well coached. It was just a scrimmage but the defense looked pretty good at times and almost everybody I think got plenty playing time. They have a couple tough Juniors in Lawson and Saylor. They passed the ball quite a bit, but had some good runs and a couple good scoring drives in the second half. What does Middlesboro look like so far?

Anderson County is overrated. No way are they ranked higher than Corbin.

Anderson Co is a very good football team that you know nothing about. But you're right not as good as Corbin, but they might end up better. If they hadn't lost their RB to transfer they'd be my 3rd ranked 4A team.

I think you could throw Central, Anderson Co, Corbin and F. Simpson in a hat and pull them out in any order and you wouldn't get much argument from me.

They are a good not great team that I know plenty about. They are overrated. They beat weak teams last year then lost when they played a decent team.

THEY OUTPLAYED HIGHLANDS BUT HAD SIX FUMBLES AND LOST 14-10.
Anyone that knows football knows they are legit which explains why you think otherwise. They will finish second in the district and only lose one regular season game.

Honestly youâll get no argument from me to the contrary, all the teams you mentioned are very good...

I appreciate it Dougie but I have to disagree Anderson is very good right now, their coaching staff doesnât get nearly enough credit for what theyâve been able to accomplish...

You're either trolling or you really are clueless.

Best I remember they beat Franklin last year by double digits and Knox Central barely beat them in the region....I was impressed with Knox Central when we played them last game of the regular season even if it was a rivalry game...You could be right though thatâs why they play the games...

Coach Peach is a fine coach. Sam Harp (Danville HS Legend) is no longer with the team but his fingerprints are all over the Bearcats Program now.
Anderson Co is HUGE on the OL, I bet they average 300lbs. They have the best pass rusher in KY (Derringer). They have a good QB...really good RBs and IMO their MVP Labhart (RB/LB) returns from a Game 1 ACL tear last season.
They will spank LexCath and they get us on their home cow pasture in mid-Oct. They lack speed but they can ground-and-pound with the best of them.
Looking forward to the challenge twice this season.

A little girl telling me I'm clueless is funny. Did you do a google search to find out what clueless means?

They were sitting at the house early in the playoffs. No way are they top 4. I said they are good not great.

Anybody that knows anything about football knows that you promote them heavily because they are in Boyle County's district. They will be chasing Boyle County receivers all night in both games. They are too slow to keep up.

I know them is why I promote them.
Oh and BTW, if chasing the Boyle County receivers was the measuring stick for teams that are overrated how would you be able to rank anyone in the state? Just sayin'....

Who was the best looking QB from Whitley county?
08-11-2019, 06:57 PM
How did Anderson do against bell and somerset yesterday? I would think if they held their own and improved they would have a fighting chance against Boyle.
08-11-2019, 09:34 PM
The film on this was odd to say the least. Andersonâs main 2 backs didnât touch the ball much, they passed 90%of the time, and the rotated 2nd and 3rd team kids in constantly. If they play like that they are a .500 team. However I expect them to use their big line and 2 dominant looking backs and run 90% of the time. They should be fine. The Dearinger kid is scary on defense. Labhart is scary on offense. If they had a WR that can catch they have a good QB.
If we can hold their DL up long enough to pass I have no fear we will by at least a couple tds. It will be another tough game but their secondary seems weak.

Boyle Co @ Anderson Co in mid October will be a fight IMO. They'll ground and pound and try and hold on to the ball to limit possession for the Rebels. If they are successful, they have a shot.
08-11-2019, 10:59 PM
I agree. We will need to create a lot of quick passes and roll outs opposite Dearinger. If we do this we win no problem. That secondary is really bad. Reese and Colwick vs that? Lol
Our Defense should be good enough to keep them from scoring more than is at least.
I am more worried about a couple of their players but not as worried as I was overall after watching their scrimmage.

The last time I watched them play Corbin didn't have to chase them much.

Anderson County is not a bad team but their attempted ground and pound won't work against a top tier defense. Their defense also has too many holes.
