Yes, best team Somerset has had in decades. I know it was a scrimmage but they beat Paintsville pretty handily. Somerset by 20.

Beating 1A Paintsville in a scrimmage does not mean this is the best Somerset team in decades. The teams from 2009-13 won 5 Regional Titles in a row and the 09-10 teams went a combined 27-2. This is a very, very good Somerset team but lets see how they play against their first really good opponent in a real game. They've definitely got the potential to be playing at Kroger Field, but there's a long season ahead.

That being said I think they come out and play well against Beechwood. It should be a great crowd and I know the Jumpers really want to get past them after not being able to the past 3 seasons. This game could be huge in regards to seeding for the playoffs if both teams can get out of the 1st 2 rounds. I'll take Somerset to pull away as the game goes on and win 34-17.

Beechwood is not use to losing. Very well coached and very long tradition. Somerset is appears to be loaded this year. This will be a dog fight with both teams pumped come kickoff. This could possibly be your 2A game of the year. 2A is wide open this year with numerous teams ready to take the title. Beechwood is ready to right the ship and get it pointed in the right direction.

It’d be easy for Somerset to think they’ve got this one just looking at the Paintsville score. I bet Beechwood comes in very focused and SHS comes in hungry.

Somerset beat my Tigers like a drum in final preseason scrimmage and we handled Beechwood Friday night. After watching both teams play Somerset wins this one easily. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a running clock

It’s hard to judge an upcoming game just by going off results from common opponents, so many variables come into play especially with quality teams... I’m gonna go with the Bunnies just cause of the hype I’ve not seen them play but they seem to be on a tear...

I was told by a Beechwood coach. This past Fridays game they had 2 LB hurt. And both were their running backs too. They were playing total of 5 kids that had never seen varsity action
