Pikeville @ Paintsville 9/6
#31
Only thing that I see that doesn't favor Pikeville in this game is home field advantage and the Panther faithful may just put that in their favor as well. Nothing against Paintsville but I see the Panthers winning in the 14-20 point range. I'll say:

Pikeville 38
Paintsville 24

Pikeville 34
Paintsville 21

Anyone going to video stream this one?

Around Paintsville.com bac2369 usually video streams all their home games and away games if the other school lets them
#35
I was told yesterday that Around Paintsville won’t be allowed to stream Friday’s game.
#36
WYMT’s secondary channel will be streaming this game live. If you’re planning on attending this game you better get there early. As for my prediction it’s a toss up. I believe Pikeville has more athletes/depth but Paintsville has more heart and determination. I’m gonna be crazy and pick Paintsville 35 Pikeville 28

Pineville and not close

I’d say this ones to close to call. Wish I could be there to watch it. Good luck both ways.

I expect Memorial Field will be electric on Friday night. While Pikeville definitely has some high quality skill players I believe he Tiger Offensive and Defensive lines will be the biggest factor in this game. They’re very big and athletic and will control both lines against the smaller Pikeville units. This one will be an old fashioned small town cat fight between two of the best programs the mountains have to offer.
Tigers 35
Panthers 20

They were big and athletic last year too. How did that turn out? Plus Pikeville significantly bumped up their size tackle to tackle over last year. But I agree, it will be a war in the trenches and all across the field.

Close for around a Half, then Pikeville opens it up a little once their depth takes over.

Pikeville 34
Paintsville 14

Keep your mind on last season and it will get you sent back home with a loss. This is a new year and last year means nothing.

One thing is for sure, if Paintsville gives up the big play like they did last year, particularly in the 1st half, it will be a long night. Or maybe a short one, but you get the idea.
#46
Paintsville generated a total of 82 rushing yards vs Beechwood who had OL and DL all in their first varsity start. Not dominating Pikeville lines, no how no way.

Pikeville has guys at every skill position who can make big plays. It is a virtual certainty they will make big plays vs Paintsville. IMO the question is can Paintsville match them with big plays of their own. Just one opinion.

pikeville wins this one by as much as they want

Now I have seen all these predictions and none of us know what is going to be the finale score. Yes I am for Pikeville but I also remember one year Pikeville killed Paintsville the first game then got spank the second game. Then one year it was a barn burner that Paintsville won I think and then Pikeville beat them bad (I know Cash was out that game). What I am getting at you never know when these two meet up. All I really know it’s going to be a dandy. I just hope for an injury free game for both teams. But as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Lol ! Guarantee this Pikeville team won't be thinking about last yrs. game. Quality teams forget yesterday and focus on the game at hand. That's what this team will be doing come Friday evening. Btw, Pikeville wins this one too.

Got one question for you Ralph Furley and it’s not about football. Are you a threes Company fan that’s how you got your name? I know you don’t have to answer but just thought I would ask.

After watching the tape, Paintsville has a lot of gritty athletic guys who play hard as can be. But that oline isn’t going to sustain blocking for them over time with Pikeville dline being 5-8 players deep. I say after halftime Pikeville runs away and never looks back.

Pikeville has something that I haven’t seen a lot in 1A. They have depth at every postition and whenever one player comes in and another goes out. You can’t really tell and that’s rare in high school football in eastern Kentucky.

Pikeville is deep, that's a fact.

You’re completely missing the point I was making. FWIW, I know the team is not living in the past. They’re looking directly at this years Paintsville team. I was making a point that they had big and athletic line last year, should have been more stout against a smaller Pikeville line and were not. What’s going to be better or different this year, based on your “bigger and more athletic” this year statement?

I think that by reading between the lines the general opinion is that if Paintsville can’t get a rush with 5 or less, it’s a long night for the Tigers. Paintsville has good skill guys that can cover but we all know what Pikeville brings to the table.

I also believe the Pikeville run game is going to be interesting with the front line of Paintsville. A lot of intriguing matchups in this one for sure. But as always GO PANTHERS!!!

28 needs more touches

Best part about 28. Is he doesn’t need touches to make a difference in a game. He’s in my opinion the most important player on the team.

He definitely is a brute and I say he will get them when need to be. The coaching staff does a good job of game planning for each game. Which is always different for each game. But we will see what happens this Friday night but as always GO PANTHERS!!!
