The 5A school Powell was so proud of playing “a good fought game” with got beat by 62 tonight. By a 2A team. A lot of my questions about both of these teams was answered tonight. I’m not going into detail, but Congrats to the Engineers tonight and their new Head Coach on the W. Wow

That 2A team would beat most 5A teams this year.

Nope. Congrats to Estill. Our boys weren’t there that night. I never in a million years thought Estill would beat us but they did. I’ve talked to many of Powell’s players and they talked about the plays they were running were crap and trying to do things repeatedly that weren’t working to begin with.

I hope this was a learning experience for the players and coaches. I hope they learn and bounce back.

Good luck to Estill moving forward, I really hope y’all the best and injury free season in a really tough district.

Thats not a good look for a program, questioning the coaches whether you agree or not. Only going to get worse for them.

Thanks and good luck to you all as well!

Powell does seem to be in a bad place at the moment.
