More like “thoughts and prayers” for Beechwood facing a highly irate Corbin team coming off a tough loss to Pulaski. Corbin by two comfortable TDs at least. Not sold on the Tiger O line yet.

Corbin 49 - Beechwood 17

I think it’ll be closer than everyone thinks. It’s still beechwood and it’s at their place. I’m looking forward to making the trip again. Great campus, stadium and atmosphere. They haven’t forgot how to coach up there, the tigers will be ready as will the hounds. It’ll come down to playmakers. I think Corbin wins 38 - 21.

Strange year so far with beechwood piling up the loses

It’s hard to lose all the starters but 1 and compete with the teams they have on their schedule. I think when the playoffs start they will be a different team.

Which is why I’m worried about Corbin leaving there with a win. They’ll be focused in after a tough loss, but I think it’ll be a close game

Corbin by two touchdowns

I’m anxious to see how combs reacts personally. A freshman QB on the road, against a traditional power...... I think/HOPE he excels Friday. He’s a good kid. A smart kid. And a heck of a player. He makes freshman mistakes but he’s playing against 18 year old kids, and maybe 20 year old if we play Louisville central hahaha. So far he’s showed he is the right man behind center and watching him progress under haddix is going to be a thing of beauty.

I definitely expect Corbin to win, but I don’t expect a running clock Corbin by 14.

I hope you’re right on the 14! But if Corbin put a running clock on them at home, I give up trying to figure this team out.

Hounds roll. 35-14
#17
This could get ugly, I think there is a decent shot at a running clock against the young Bechies

We’re nowhere near the team Mayfield seen the last couple years, like Hound05 said it would shock me if there’s a running clock....I do think we’re gonna be a tough team to play come November but we have to clean some things up and grow up a lot...
#19
Corbin 21 Beechwood 14 but wouldn’t shock me if this was reversed
#20
Both teams are not vintage Corbin/Beechwood teams. With that being said, Haddix is the better coach with more talent. The Hounds win 28-10.

This is what is bad about this new rankings thing. Corbin is probably going to get penalized in the rankings for this game.

Do you mean the RPIs for the playoff seeding? As long as Corbin wins it shouldn't hurt them. It might not help them a whole lot as Beechwood isn't exactly stacking up wins, but a win is a win in the RPI.

I’d rather just play Beechwood than some of the other options rankings and rpi’s be damned....in the end Corbin and Beechwood both will be better off for it...I’m done worrying about all this playoff format bull crap at the end of the day your gonna have to lace up and play either your the better team or your not...

I agree. As we’ve known for the last 2 years , 2nd place isn’t a good feeling. Eventually you’re going to have to beat the best. I’m like you, I don’t care if it’s the first round or the last. Lace ‘me up and play

The best way to handle the playoffs, win week one, win week two, win week three, win week four, when state championship!
Take care of business

Beechwood has the better coach. he wins a state championship every year.

Haddix > any 606 coach

several 606 coaches have won state championships. Haddix has a goose egg, A Corbin fan saying it doesn't make it fact.

Fake News.

Several of those same coaches that have already won state titles would have at least won one of the two that Haddix lost. Haddix is a good coach but was blessed with a plethora of talent. This is the year he can prove he is among the elite.
