Lex. Catholic at Boyle County 10/11
#1
With Belfry on bye this week, I'm thinking very seriously about traveling to Danville to watch this showdown. It's a long drive but I believe it would be worth it. With their remaining schedule, I think this is the only team remaining that has a chance to hang an "L" on the Rebels, and it's a very small chance in my opinion. I dont think Anderson, Bourbon, or Madison Southern can handle them.

What do you guys think?

IMO

We got a chance.

Lex Cath’s defense or lack there of will play a huge part in this game. With that being said, I believe the Boyle train will roll on.
Boyle- 56
Lex Cath-35

Boyle held Catholic to 99 yds passing in their only meeting last year, and honestly I think Catholic probably had a better team last year than they do this year, with that being said I don’t think Boyle will have to punt in this game so use your imagination as to what I think the final score will be.

I don’t think Lex Cath will score more than a touchdown or two. My opinion is that LC is about the same offensively as the last couple of years and the Boyle defense is at least as good as they have been so I expect more of the same. Boyle 49 Lex Cath 14

Boyle .....lots
Catholic....a little

Until I saw BC play some decent teams I gave Lex cath a chance this year. But after the last few weeks they don’t have enough defense to compete in this game. I will slightly disagree with you on one part though, from the twogames I’ve watched them play this year I think their offense is a little more potent than last year. It could be where Allen has matured more? I dunno? Overall as a team I haven’t watched enough in the last two to make a good judgment. But if Allen gets time they do seem to get open a lot. Still think Boyle takes this game fairly easily now. But I do Think Lc will put up more of an offense this year. Good luck to ya jack.

We’ll have to agree to disagree although I respect your opinion but IMO Catholic was better last year they don’t have the running game they had last year nor do they have the size of last year, their lines will definitely be the smallest Boyle has seen all year I expect Allen to have more rushing yds than passing yds Friday night, and that will be by design of Smith and Hester’s defensive game plan.

I don’t necessarily disagree we you in the grand scheme of things. I just thought their offense looked a little more potent, but I’ll fully admit it’s a small sample size that I’ve seen this year. Overall I honestly have no idea, I did notice though what you stated, their run game was almost nonexistent. In the back of my mind I tbink they’ll put up a few more points than they did last year. But no where near enough to be a threat.

Welcome back! I think Boyle county will win but I don’t think it’s a complete landslide. Sorry for disagreeing.

It will be like walking through water for Boyle this one gets ugly fast
#15
Boyle is a great defensive team and will be zoned in and hammer LC..
LC may not score..
#16
I guess Boyle wins 42-41, every time LC hast lost its been a close one lol. I’d say the way Boyle is trending it will be more like 30-42 to 0 or 7 points for LC, but no matter the score, I think it will be awful hard to upset this team at home. I hope both teams are injury free and enjoy the contest. A lot of talent going to be on that field. Good luck to both teams.
#17
Catholic will get some points. But they will have a hard time stopping Boyle. 77-41
#18
This one will be get ugly fast. Boyle rolls again 63-14.

This "should" be a high scoring game. I'm certain that Boyle will put lots of points on the scoreboard. If Catholic can score enough points to prevent a running clock, Boyle could score into the 60's. I'm looking forward to going to this game as it should be interesting.

I feel Boyle will run away, I’m thinking Catholic will hit a couple of big plays but also feel Allen will get hit a lot. Catholic will see the best defense they have seen and will have to block in my opinion probably the best dlineman in the State 73 who will pressure Allen all night. I’m going 56-14.

I’m anxious to see how Allen plays in this game. Granted he can only do so much. But he needs to prove he’s the best player on the field before I get hyped up about having a good ole Kentucky boy playing for the big blue again behind center.
#23
If Boyle was to put 73 on the right side of the defense over top of the left tackle 55. Allen May not get a pass off.

The one thing I would do if I were at coach at Boyle County is I would have the team come in early and have and IV’s for them and at half time too because they will be running up and down the field so much they may all cramp up. Why do you think FoSho? I am just kidding but I do think Boyle County wins by a bunch.

Thinking real hard on it my friend. If Ethan can get out of practice, or at least out early then we are coming. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow.

:thatsfunn

I am a little concerned with the way Beau Allen can drop a dime in a small window. But I trust the defensive coaches to figure out a good scheme if the kids execute it.

One thing I've noticed in the past is that if Boyle gets a good working lead on Lex Cath then Smith generally takes the air out of the ball and works the clock trying to show less of the playbook than necessary in case the two meet again.

I'm going with 48-15 because that's the average margin of victory over the Knights in three meetings since 2017.

I pray for an injury free contest.

Saw in another site that Allens completion percentage vs the Rebels is 49% (54-110).

So there's that.

Lex Cath's ability to throw the ball will help loosen up the Boyle defense some. The Rebels haven't faced a team that throws the ball as well as LC does. I think Catholic will be able to score in the 28-35 point range. The issue is on the other side of the ball. The Knights haven't stopped anyone this year and Boyle's offense will be one of the best they've faced, so, I'm expecting them to give up 48 or more.. Just a guess, but, i'll say 49-34 Boyle..

Boyle Co plays LC every year? Last year they did not complete a pass in the first half and only threw for 99 yards in the game?

Time will tell.
