Lex. Catholic at Boyle County 10/11

FoSho Wrote:Boyle Co plays LC every year? Last year they did not complete a pass in the first half and only threw for 99 yards in the game?

Time will tell.

Catholics offense seems to be much more efficient this year than last.. Neither were very good defensively, but, this years version seems to be struggling more than last years did and last years was nothing to brag about..

IMO Boyle with a running clock ⏰ middle of the third quarter maybe earlier.

They average 90 more yards a game passing this year than last.

But they did average 40.8 ppg versus 38.7 this year.

A good reason for this IMO is they don’t have the running game they had last year from the tailback position, Catholic is a averaging 43 yds a game rushing from the TAILBACK position this season thru 6 games, that’s not counting Allen’s 277 yds rushing he’s out rushed their 5 running backs with carries by 19 yds.

It’s all about getting Allen Mr. Football.

With their remaining schedule, I think this is the only team remaining that has a chance to hang an "L" on the Rebels, and it's a very small chance in my opinion. I dont think Anderson, Bourbon, or Madison Southern can handle them.

What do you guys think?

You coming down?

Man, I'm trying very hard. I told FoSho that if Ethan got off early Friday that we would make the trip. But it seems like "something" doesnt want us to see the Boyle Machine. My mom is elderly and she fell and snapped her femur bone and lost a couple pints of blood and is the hospital not doing so good. She has real bad sugar and its holding them up from fixing her. Its not out of the question yet, us coming out to watch the Rebs. If they can get her out of danger we're coming. Coach Heywood has given the Pirates off tomorrow so that's not an issue. Man, we've been wanting to see the Rebels all year but more importantly, I want to get out there and meet some of you great guys on this site. You guys are a great, dedicated, and loyal fanbase. Hopefully
everything works out and it happens. It'll probably be last minute but I'll let you know.

They can relax then and work on their run game cause IMO I don’t think he is getting beat by anybody for that award.

That's a damn shame to my friend! Allen is a great player, don't get me wrong, but I believe the only reason that he wins the award is because he's a QB that plays in Lexington. And the biggest reason is because where he has committed to play college football. In my opinion he'd be 3rd on my list for Mr. Football right now:

1 Reese Smith
2 Mike Mayer (committed to my Irish)
3 Beau Allen

You hit the nail on the head. On another note, I talked to some West Virginia fans and they are excited about the new coach they got and Reese coming there way.

I think with the eyes on Beau Allen against Boyle Chuck Smith will turn Reese Smith loose. I look for them to go to him all night long. IMO he will have video game stats against Allen’s team in front of the states sports writers.

This is exactly what needs to happen. Reese Smith needs to leave no doubt! Let them see who is the best player on the field, and possibly in the state.

The alltime passing leader in Boyle Co history is going to have A LOT to say about what happens tomorrow night.

Yes he will! Reese Smith doesn't work without #19, or any of the rest of the Rebel Machine for that matter. The Rebel QB is one of the most underrated and overlooked football players in KY. Damn shame to.

I think lex catholic gives them a better game than many think.

If it's raining there like it is here, then that's going to really dampen any chance that Lex Catholic has. See what I did there? lol

Boyle by 30. They are a team on a mission. Lex Cath will bring out the best in them.

The rain is not in Danville yet. The forecast is for rain to start somewhere around 8:00-9:00 tonight (30% chance). As you get closer to 11:00 the rain chance is 60%-70%.

If that happens I will be totally surprised. Been watching Coach Smith since the first year he took the reigns and I have never seen him try to allow one player to dominate. Coach Smith is worried about one thing and these players seem to be on the same page and that is a state championship. Awards are nice but I bet none of those kids would trade their state championship from a couple of years ago for any individual award. IMO Coach Smith has these boys on a mission this year and it has showed. I don’t look for Lex Cath to slow them down tonight but that is why th game is played. Praying for an injury free game!

Also praying for your family #55PirateFan

This is a true statement but if an individual player goes crazy in the execution of the gameplan the staff will continue to go to the well until the game is secure.
