Back when I played, August 1 was the universal start date. But of course, average temps were way, way hotter back then and we went full pads twice a day, every day. While swallowing salt pills.

July 10 just seems so early, but given all the other restrictions on padding, multiple sessions and practice times, it’s likely a wash.
