LCA at Mayfield. Thoughts?

LCA has speed all over the field. But Mayfield does to and LCA was so undisciplined vs Raceland I just don’t see them getting past this round.

Cards 35
Eagles 21

I felt like LCA was starting to dominate the game and momentum last year until Hensley ran up and down their sideline taunting the Cards and their fans. That’s stunt woke a sleeping giant!

Will any bad blood/rivalry type emotions be at play in this one?

I believe Mayfield is still building momentum.
I'll give them the nod at home by a score.

Neither team are as good this year compared to last year. Mayfield is playing so many young kids it’s taking time for them to gel, and losing 2 starters for the year on D really hurt them. I’ll take Mayfield at home simply because they are home

Great game that I believe goes to Mayfield. As good as LCA is, the home field advantage is a huge plus.

I say close. Like a 27-24 type game.

Upset alert nah I am taking Mayfield but wouldn’t surprise me if it went the other way

Mayfield better play their best game of the year. Lost to Graves Co, squeaked by Henderson Co in OT, and played like garbage against McCracken Co & Murray. Look at the latest results of all four of those teams.

LCA's performance at home against Raceland gives argument that Mayfield has a solid shot at winning Friday.......... and being at War Memorial.

I think LCA should be considered the favorite, but either team winning by 14 or less wouldn't be surprising.

LCA with their stout lineman across the board and those huge running backs with speed WOW.
#15
LCA should win this game. They have a little bit better all around team. But, they've had really good teams the past 2 seasons as well. But of those teams went into War Memorial, and wilted in the 4th quarter of 2 close games. If the Eagles are going to get over the hump this season, they better have a 7+ point lead going into the quarter. I don't think they will. Give me Mayfield 28-27.

LCA will roll if they can avoid the inevitable distractions of playing at War Memorial. They won't have 1st region refs so officiating is a toss up. Ignore the ignoramuses around the end zone and visitor stands. They are there to get them off their game.

Maybe, but Hensley ran all over Mayfield and they never really had an answer for him. The game took a turn after the turnover when Mayfield went up two scores in the 4th and LCA started to try to run everything through Boley instead of Hensley. Mayfield had Boley's number all night and he wasn't capable of bringing them back, and there wasn't enough time to grind out drives with Hensley. If they don't fumble on that 4th down attempt and LCA was able to keep running everything through Hensley it probably would have been closer, but Mayfield was still the much better team.

Should be a great game between two powerhouses. I hope both teams play to the best of their ability and come out of the game injury free. Good luck to both teams.
I'll take LCA 35-31 in a slugfest.

Mayfield has been quietly building momentum, and now is the time I believe you will see them show they are hitting their stride.
