Impressive. All week we heard how sayre wouldn’t be able to show pikeville down and how they wouldn’t prepared because of their schedule. Their d layed the wood in this one. Impressive win. Gonna have a new 1A champ.

I don’t know if I’d call it a “bloodbath” but it was a very nice and surprising win for Sayre. Pikeville for the most part, especially the sideline, just didn’t seem like they even wanted to be there. I know for a fact they are a better team than what they showed tonight. The lack of effort was astonishing to me.

Your only good as what is shown at the present time!!

Well, (deep breath) I am shaking my head not wanting to accept that Sayre had Pikeville's number as good as any other team that won against Pikeville this year. That's just hard to believe, but I congratulate Sayre on their victory. They executed well and seemed to know the Panthers plan consistently throughout this game. My heart is proud of these players, but I'm going to need a couple of aspirin. Good luck to the final four teams.

Pikeville was a flawed team. I wasn't sure a 1A team could expose those flaws.

Tonight Sayre did just that.

Back to the drawing board for Pikeville, they will be back... but tonight belongs to Sayre. Very impressive!

Congratulations to Sayer they just gave Pikeville butt kicking but if you have watched this team all year they never played with any energy except for Anthony and I believe I said it before nothing would surprise me about this team
#15
I'm sure it was the livestream but when they lined up at the beginning of the game Sayre looked like they had a middle school line compared to Pikeville. I thought it was going to be a massacre with Pikeville controlling the line of scrimmage. I was wrong. Sayre is a high quality team. Congratulations, I'm eating crow on this one.

So much for the 10 straight championships pikeville was supposed to win.

Dear God I can't wait for the Raceland guys to get on here

I watched most of this game with no rooting interest and both teams have serious flaws, but pikeville looked absolutely flat in every way possible on offense.

Sayre and Raceland will meet in the state final barring anything crazy should be decently interesting!

I don't pay much attention to these boards, but this made me laugh.  Alot.

I’ve been saying for a while this Sayre senior class would be good and have a shot at a title.
Sayre will take a huge step back next season. But Congrats to Sayre on proving everyone wrong.

Congrats to Pikeville on a great year and Brendan Anthony on a huge career and all the Pikeville seniors.

To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Shouldn't be surprised though. This season's team was missing something all season long. Don't know what it was, but I think we could start with the word enthusiasm! It's not been there at all, Imo. Feel like a great opportunity was just blown tonight.

I watched this game on the live stream and Sayre is the real deal and they have as good a chance of winning a title as anyone.  I’ll hold back any trash talking until we prove we can win a title.

Might want to hold it until you have about 8 of them because they’ve owned you recently. But I like Raceland to win it this year. Sayre played better than I thought and all credit to those kids. They wanted it more. Pikeville just never was Pikeville this year. Something was off and they’ll look way different next year and play different I suspect.

I might ruffle the feathers of some of the Ram fans but after tonight I have Sayre picked as being the favorite to win it all. Raceland is really good but Sayre seems to have an “it” factor right now.

Sayre still hasn’t played anybody. Come on guys. Did you see that Pikeville team out there tonight? Sayre did not beat a good team tonight. Don’t get mad pikeville fans but that team that played Sayre tonight looked like one of those heavyweight champions that fought way too many fights. Lethargic, beat up, slow, zero energy. This was not the same team Raceland faced early nor the team that took Ironton down to the wire. Poor Brendan Anthony looked like an old man running the ball tonight. 14 was hoping around on 1 leg trying to do the best he could. I’m not gonna gloat that Pikeville lost. But to say Sayre is the favorite because of this win is a joke. This Pikeville team didn’t even resemble the team they were early in the season. I’ll make the bet that over half the players playing for pikeville tonight were playing injured. That’s not counting the players that were already out for the season.

Sayre beat Pikeville tonight. No excuses. Pikeville had been lucky with injuries past several years avoiding key ones for the most part. Not so lucky this year. Hager and Slone being out hurt a ton on offense. Justice out on defense a huge blow as well. RAD hit the nail on the head. Several more played hurt, a couple played an entire season compromised. Sayre surprised me but Pikeville is better than that. Played uninspired and yes the most injured team I’ve seen Pikeville have. But this year still seemed off/different all year. No identity at times. Play calling was questionable at times. No enthusiasm. Sometimes success breeds content. I still like Raceland to finally get it done and would really be setup to go back to back next year.

Also from the outside looking in……it seem to me like Pikeville also had some internal problems as well. We were keeping track of the game because the pikeville game started a half hour earlier and everybody was like……look how slow and lethargic Pikeville looks. 14 hobbling around on one leg. Anthony looking like a guy who had been fed the ball way too many times. Center being carried off the field. I mean this team was a mash unit.

I did not have Pikeville losing and me agreeing with RAD on my bingo card. In all seriousness, good luck to the Rams. I think it’s their turn.
