Betsy Layne 2025 Schedule
#1
August 22nd: @ Prestonsburg
August 30th: Pineville @ GRC in Clark County Bowl
September 5th: Martin County
September 12th: @ Knott County Central
September 19th: Floyd Central
September 26th: @ East Ridge*
October 10th: @ Shelby Valley*
October 17th: Belfry*
October 24th: Pike County Central*
October 31st: Leslie County

* denotes a district game

What can we expect from Betsy Layne this year as Belfry enters this previous 4 team district? The Bobcats lose Andrew McCutcheon but return key players like Carter Parsons and Isaiah Allen.

I’ve heard Carter Parsons isnt playing next year also Isaiah Allen could possibly move to FC. I don’t look for BL to have a winning record this season. Who steps into McCutcheon roll this season only guy I seen get barley any RB snaps was Reese Hamilton who will be a JR.

Wonder why parsons wouldn’t play? Would be just to focus on basketball if I’m guessing.

The program will be fine they got some young talent coming up who will need some time to develop to high school level football.

obviously a bear getting a loaded belfry team in the district but if you tough it out for a year or two you will be alright and despite that fact i believe that carter parsons is one of th best players in that district

Betsy Layne loses A LOT due to graduation. I think Isaiah Allen stays at BL as long as theirs no fall out.

I think if Parsons stays at BL and plays football that they can have a pretty good offense. Him, Allen, Hamilton, and Eli Jarrell could make for a solid offense to compete with everyone not named Belfry in that district. Bobcats defense will be a huge concern though. They’re going to give up a lot of yards and points to some teams.

Schedule is tougher than it has been, so I credit Jarrell for beefing that up. I think Pineville and East Ridge are likely the only guaranteed wins. Rest are gonna be either grind it out battles or BL is gonna take a few on the chin.

For the future, I like what the Bobcats have coming up. They’ll have some pieces and if Jarredd can surround himself with some more help on the sideline then they can compete for district again as Eli develops and matures.
