Pick'Ems
#1
Well guys, we are about 5 weeks out of high school football season.  And I am beyond excited!!!

However, I've run into an issue that I need some help with.  I always go to the KHSAA scoreboard to get the upcoming games as well as the final scores, for all my picks.  For some reason, this site appears to no longer list those games.  I've searched everywhere and I cannot seem to find another site that I can use that lists ALL the high school games each week.

I have made an account on Arbiter, but I cannot find the information I need.  It could be that I don't have the computer sense to utilize this site, but I've tried over and over again to nothing positive.

If anyone has any idea where I can go to find a listing of the high school games each week, as well as the final scores of these games, I would definitely appreciate it if you could point me in that direction.  Otherwise, I don't know how I can do the Pick'Ems this year.  And that would be a tragedy!!!

Smile Granny, I'd say any day now it should be updated. Just a guess on my end. Alot of schedules are still partial and some are finished on MaxPreps.

If the KHSAA can't keep their scoreboard up and running they are even more useless than we already know and that's really saying something.

It's now mid July and I am close to panicking!! Still nothing on the KHSAA website for 2025 season, and I don't find a useable alternative. I am open, and encourage, suggestions on what alternative sites to use or perhaps a different way to gather information.

For example, if I could get 6 DEPENDABLE folks to gather information and get that information to me in a timely manner, we might could swing the contest. I would love to have every portion of the state be represented.

ANY suggestions are appreciated.

One thing you could do is start a thread every Saturday morning asking members to nominate games for the pick'em contest for the following week.  Use some of those suggestions to supplement your picks.  I did that in the past when I was running the contest because I felt like I was picking the same teams every week.  I also didn't want to over look any of the big games.  Two things I learned:  (1) If you pick too many games west of Lexington, people will complain.  (2) You can't make everyone happy regardless of what you do.  People are going to complain.

That's a great suggestion!! Thank you.

I do the best I can with Pick'Ems, and if anybody wants to complain, then so be it. It won't take any years off my life.

First the bad news. WV, TN & NC have other sites that track scheds. VA kinda does. KY doesn't. I'm still looking for Perry & Phelps. They haven't even put them on Facebook.

Now, the good-ish news. The main site I use is Massey Ratings. It's a HECK of a lot cleaner/easier than Max, but their scheds also come from the states and school sites, so it's still missing a lot, too.

Now, the really good news.. you can also see games by week.
