After one game, I am not impressed with Manning. So far, the hype is because of the name on the back of the jersey and that he plays for Texas.

What a way to kick off the season and noon on week one with these two teams playing.
With playoff implications on the line. I was pulling for OSU in this one, Congrats to them on the win.

I didnt get to watch it. Was OSUs defense just that dominate? Or did Manning struggle somewhat?

IMO, Manning looked like that he didn't belong out there. He was rushing his throws and he looked uneasy all game long.. OSU's speed may have to do with that.

I agree with Jarons. Arch was in his own way most of the game.
However, he did make improvements as the game went along and his throwing was better in the 4th quarter. I haven't written him off completely. I'm anxious to see Texas play next week.

I think Arch will be fine.  He has more pressure on him than any player in college football.  Throw in the fact his first start was on the road in one of the biggest games in college for all of 2025 and against the defending national champs that has roster full of future NFL starters.  Who wouldn't have struggled?

Defenses were ahead of offenses for both sides.

Thought Ohio State looked like the better team on that day, but could see why Texas fans would be optimistic about what they have going forward. Manning missed some throws that he probably makes consistently by the end of the season.

Also thought Ohio State had the best offensive and defensive player on the field. Not saying that I won't be sold on Sayin by the end of the season, but I think you can see a ceiling on what he's going to be able to do and that I have questions about how well he could play from behind against a really good team.

If this game is played at Texas, think it's just as likely that the result flips, but Sark has some work to do on his late down conversion rates, so maybe not.

Overall, a good showing for both teams. Can't see the loser of a 14-7 game Week 1 game between two teams ranked this high being punished unless it's in a head-to-head comparison for seeding.
