Sounds to me like your grudge is going from the coach to the team. And yes most of us did pick valley to win by a huge margin and I was wrong. But Im gonna do it agian this week. Valley 42-12. Valley's conditiong was questioned last week and I think they showed they were a well condtioned team. But you can put me on the list of people who love Cach Saunders and woulda drather played for him than any coach I had except David Osborne.

The Valley faithful predicted a win, and that's what they got. "Fact" is, SV did beat PCC, at least that's what I thought the "W" beside their name meant. A win is a win, no matter how it came to be. That's all that matters in the end.

Yes, I am agreeing with you Alfus, but what I was saying is where almost everyone is predicting a big win for Valley this week is sounding like the BIG winning margin that was predicted for the PCC game. Are you going to agree with that? That most said Valley would walk all over PCC and the same thing is being said about East Ridge? I thought Valley would win over PCC. I didnt think it would be a blow out. PCC made the biggest plays of the night for Valley to win. Not Valley domination.

I think a majority of the hype came from one source. I am still not ready to "drink the SV Kool-Aide" It is gonna be a close game. Valley is not the powerhoouse HE thinks it is.

Wavefan is entitled to his opinion as well you to yours...I can realize maybe better than you why this person has some disdain for the SV program since Your coach tried to forfiet a game that he now has to PLAY 2 weeks from now that would have put another team with a short season...A young team that needs to play as much as yours does.If the shoe was on the other foot Id assume youd feel the same..It"s football,everybody likes who they like and dislikes who they want...You dont have to agree with anyone.....

Lets get 1 thing straight. Saunders came in and had to fix a scheduling mix up anyway he could. I know for a fact Saunders has NO problem playing grundy. If I am not mistaken I played for him and we always scrimmaged Grundy when he was at Wise. So him having a problem w/ them you are really mistaken.

you know nothing about it,at least not the truth....Since your in the know on things why dont you ask some school board members why he was called to the carpet about it,I dont have too,I was sitting there,why dont you ask some KHSAA officials whom laid the law down to him that he"d honor his contracts why dont you talk to folks at East Ridge while your up there this Friday night why he tried to get them to reschedule there game with them so he could get around playing Grundy...Saunders has a problem playing anybody that can give him a run for his money and if you didnt have to play district games he"d schedule 10 1A schools a year...I live within 10 minutes of SV and He"s why I carry my kid to Pikeville...Football isnt just about wining or losing games it"s about building character and self esteme to make the mind as strong as the body to make good young men contributing members to society.

But obviously hes building something at Valley the kids havent hung there head all year they didn't give up aginst Matewan and they didn't give up aginst PC when they were up and things wasn't going right. The man comes in and wins games and still gets no credit hes done what he is gettin paid to do. He is a wonderful coach. I would give anything to be playing for him right now! Give the man some credit he is teaching the kids on how to win and on how not to hang your heads and give up when things are not goin right because sometimes in life things dont go right but you gotta keep goin!!!!!!!!! And that my friend is what he is teachign the kids ask any player who is playign for him this year and they will tell you they are glad to have him as a coach. Ask any Valley fan in the stands on a friday night or in the cars or at work on friday listing to the game on the radio and they will tell you WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE KEVIN SAUNDERS AS A COACH.

well im glad he is trying to teach them football. but there is a difference between being a good coach and being a great coach. a great coach will not only teach you about the game but also teach you important lessons about life. such as god first, family second, school work third then football. if this is not the same order to which you abide by and your coach teaches then it is easy to see why valley is not known for winning. you can keep your strictly football guy and ill take my coach that cares for my kids on more than just a coach/player level. my guys play the role of parent friend and coach.

It wasn't entirely meant to be an insult. I know there are intellegent folks over there. It just seems odd that there are about 4 people on here who make the same errors on each post. I could understand if it were typos, but it seems to be a sincere lack of knowledge for the English language. If you are aware of this constant problem, it seems you would try to fix it. It often makes your posts hard to read, and discredits you to a certain degree as to your vast knowledge of the topic.
