After tommorow Pike County can start having school again for a little while.

Midee, my personal request is no snow Thursday-Sunday. My birthday is Thursday and I have dinner that night, dinner Saturday, and dinner Sunday. I may end up fat as hell but at least I won't have to drive in dangerous weather or have to cancel anything.

Around March 18th, no snow either.

As of Thursday last week we had 4 banked days left. Some schools in pike co. didn't have that many due to funerals and other things but East Ridge and feeder schools had 4 as of Thursday. We missed Friday, Monday, and Tuesday so that leaves us 1 more day and then we have to start making them up. I think our last day in Pike Co. is supposed to be May 24. I'm pretty sure I have this right anyway.

Different Counties have different amount of days left depending how much school was missed the year before!!! Floyd has about 4 or 5 days left.

After today Floyd co has 4 days left before they would have to make any time up. So as of today you would still be getting out on May 17.

They add time on to every day and it adds up to 13 days, so they are permitted to miss that many days before it adds on to the school year.

They call them banked days, I think Floyd co. has been doing that for the past 3 or 4 years. Many of the schools in western KY use the same process since the state department began to allow it.

It doesn't have to warm up, it just can't snow. I need to be able to travel, the temperature is fine no matter what it is. I can always bundle up.

As far as eating, truuuust me I will. I'll have Applebee's one night, turkey dinner, and maybe some Mexican or Applebee's again. Love me some food, uhhmmm hmmm.

We bank days in Pike Co. too, but I had never heard of it depending on how many days you had missed the year before. Pike County did this last year too but we didn't use all of the days.

YEP.... we worked 6 "banked" days last year that we didn't get "compensated" for... if you don't use em' you lose em'..... that is what we are always told anyway!!!
