Today, the kitchen is closed for dinner. It's Ballgame night!

Where does he go to college? I'm not sure exactly how far I am away from the cafeteria but I know it's pretty far. My dorm is the 2nd farthest dorm thats away from campus, the first is across the Eastern Bypass. Alot of people would complain about living in the dorm that I do but I love it, I never have to worry about parking because no one else besides the girls living in this dorm will even think about parking here. The rooms are bigger than most, I have my own thermostat in my room so I control the temperature and plus I have my OWN bathroom so what's the use in complaining? The only bad thing about my dorm is the walk to classes and stuff but hey that's excersise!
But back on topic, the cafeteria on campus (not where Burger King is) has an all-you-can eat buffet also. The only thing that sucks is you have to pay before you walk in and if they have nothing you like or want to eat then you lost you're money.

He is at Northern Kentucky. You do have it better than he does. He has an 11x11 dorm room along with a roommate. They have community bathrooms on each floor. The parking is terrible but the food is close to his dorm.

Okay... Meatloaf or Chili?

I'm not sure the measurements of my dorm but it's defintally bigger than the one I had last semester. I FINALLY ate at the cafeteria yesterday and I have to say I was surprised. They are apparently changing the menu to better suit healthy eating or something so yesterday they had alot of new stuff and the same ol' pizza. I had fettuccini alfredo (which was the 1st time I EVER had it) it was okay, it was kinda cold but then again I went during lunch when the place was paacked so they couldn't take forever since so many people were in line. I also tried the grilled cheese and french fries both of which was pretty good. I'm not sure what else they had I only went to two stations.

Okay... I'll do chili and let it simmer.... plus I'll add grilled cheese! Do you use diced tomatoes in your chili Midee1? I brown my ground chuck and onions with the seasoning in it... do you? ( do you ever use ground deer meat?)

When I get to make chili I use chopped tomatoes. I very rarely get to make it because no one in my house will eat it. I used to make it and take it to work with me when I worked outside the house.
Had a coworker that used to bring in some of the best deer chili that I have ever tasted. That's one of the few things I actually miss about working there.

I have it on simmering as I type! I am contemplating Ritz Cracker Cookies.... not too hard to make, but messy...
I use ground fresh deer meat in my Fall chili. I don't like to freeze it and serve it... have to smell and handle it too much... then I have all those "Bambi flash backs"... and I won't even eat it!
Anyway... I use diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and juice. Seasoned Bush chili beans (medium hotness) chili powder, garlic salt, pepper, celery seeds, and a secret ingredient.... it won't hurt your chili if it's not in it... but it does enhance it... oh yes and onions... sweet white onions. I do not put green peppers in my chili... too much indigestion with those suckers!

He usually eats at Norse Commons. That is the all you can eat buffet that is close to his dorm. He loves it, it can be paid for on his all card and it is all you can eat.
He is shooting for a 2 bedroom dorm next year so that he can be an RA and the students will have access to his room without bothering his roommate.

Be sure to warm your chips! The chili was not as spicey as I usually make it, but we have member of this household with a tender constitution at present!

Gotcha. I wouldn't think of that..and I probably still won't until I start eating cold chips...

That's awesome. My room is one big open room but it has room for everything. I would like to be a RA but I don't think I am going to have the time or energy to put into it in the future semesters.

Well Alrighty then...
No School Here... AMAZING! Sooo, I did waffles, sausage links, and eggs... I also did some biscuits because some like sausage/egg/cheese biscuits....
Today I am gonna re-heat the chili and do hot ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch... for dinner... homemade salsa and chips with Nacho Supreme! Everyone gets a dinner plate layered with Nacho chips, Taco Beef and refried beans... then mild cheddar and mozarella cheese melted... then shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, a huge dollup of Broughton's Sour Cream with a well in the middle for salsa! My gang loves this! It's fun too and maybe a Rook Game will break out!!!

From my experience Reese's cup cakes are chocolate cakes with peanut butter icing and crumbled up Reese's on top but some fix them with peanut butter cake, peanut butter icing, Reese's cup crumbled on top and chocolate syrup. Basically, they are the best thing EVER.

You hit the nail on the head!! If you need the receipe let me know.... I will put it on for ya so your mom can make ya one....
