Prestonsburg-42 Lawrence County-12
#1
LC scored first but after that it was all p-burg. Congrats P-Burg. Great night for Allen Craynon with around 300 all purpose yards and 5 TD's.
#2
Congrats Pburg!

Congrats Pburg

Great P-Burg fans, going into the LC locker room and stealing everything in it. They should have to forfeit the game. Terrible.
#7
Shameful!!!!

beware to any teams going there to play cause they won't lock the locker room and I quote "nobody here would steal anything"-

yea right.....

Prestonsburg defense started off slow, but just like last week played the rest of the game strong. Prestonsburg had over 200 yards on the ground in the first half and on Prestonsburg second offensive play of the game they scored on a 60 yard touchdown pass from Hughes to Craynon. Allen Craynon did have an awesome game. Nat Stephens had a nice looking interception. Congrats Blackcats.

As for the Lawrence stuff getting stolen. I heard about that during the third, and I'm so sorry to the Lawrence County football team (Even though that dosn't replace your things). I'm sure the police will get videos of the hallways and back of the school. So they should find out who did it. Once again I'm sorry, and I hope the players get their things returned. I hope this donsn't give Prestonsburg a bad image.

How do you know it was Prestonsburg fans? Plus this had nothing to do with the Coaches, and Players. The high school is right outside of downtown, and there are some wild kids that hang around in that area, plus the opponet locker room is outside of where the school takes up money for admission. Sorry to hear that your teams things were stolen but, I'm sure that Prestonsburg fans would not do that.

P-Burg doesn't have class but I don't think they would go so low as to steal stuff... But I could be wrong

Well, whether it was a PBurg student, or just someone from PBurg.. its all the same! Rediculous!! Like I said, the law enforcement should have been a little better. And they should have provided a place for our boys things! I even heard that our coaches/staff asked if there was someone to watch the door and the PBurg said they didnt have anyone. Yea, I guess not.. they wanted to play a game of STICKY FINGERS!

#1. Let's get back on topic of the actual game. But before we do.....
#2. I am from Prestonsburg and a diehard fan of Prestonsburg athletics. BUT it has been every week I have heard of something happening with P-burg fans. I remember when I was in high school, we used to do some crazy things, but nothing compared to what goes on now. We would dog the opponents players and coaches, but never would we harrass parents, or general spectators. I have to question the Prestonsburg administration for letting this go on. It's terrible that kids can't have anything in their locker room because some idiot(s) decided to take the easy way out and steal it. Granted the kids who did this come from a family who is on welfare and mooch off of the working man, therefore that is the only influence they had in their life (in no way am I poking at people who really need welfare, just the lazy people that work around the system). But that is neither here or there. Something needs to be done, whether it be arrests made, or the school itself reimbursing the students for the items stolen. I know Prestonsburg is not the only town this goes on in, but it has to be one of the worst. Classless assholes is basically all I can say when describing SOME people of Prestonsburg. Hopefully whoever done this will pay, and hopefully the guys who keep Krispy Creme in business (Prestonsburg City Police) will get off of their lazy asses and take care of this.
#3. Good game by the cats and good luck next week Lawrence Co. Hopefully your next opponents will treat you with class.

I have never seen Russell supply someone to watch another teams stuff. I would think that someone from your team should take care of that if it were that important.

Well here we go.

First of all if anyone has a problem with the school system about the way they handled a particular situation they need to contact the school administration directly. A internet based sports forum is not an avenue to get things taken care of with a school.

Second I think it's time to get back to discussing the game. I am sorry about what happened but again there is nothing to be gained from bringing it up. Contact the school administration.

If we can't keep it about the game and stop the personal attacks the thread will be closed.

I posted on here, but I guess my post told the truth too much because they deleted it twice. ANY HOW.

It is sad that things had to get stolen. Of course, booing the other team or what have you is a natural thing to do at any sporting event.. BUT, stealing things from other people at a public event is PATHETIC. Ive never been so ashamed of being at a place in my life!!

I think they need to get rid of the RENT-A-COPS and get some real law enforcement!
#18
Let's go ahead and get back on topic before Midee cries too much. Smile
#19
I'll not cry about it. I just think the adult thing to do is to take it up with the school administration.

I am the one that deleted the post twice. Check your PM's and you will understand.

Last time.....Back to the game!

Haha. Yes.

Since this is about the game... I guess I'll just start with how the game was reffed. One of the refs used to play for Prestonsburg. From what I hear, he used to be one of the best players on the team! And if you noticed, he stayed on the sidelines with Prestonsburg. Fair? I don't think so. I guess they gotta cheat through out the whole thing!

Who was the ref? Anyone know?

Last week at the Ashland/Ironton game a former Ashland player was officiating that game. The assigning secretary for the officials is the one that sends officials to the game. In both instances both teams got former players as officials. It happens and is not controlled by either team.
#23
I'm not sure on the refs name. But, I heard it from Prestonsburg's fans!

And in either case.. I don't believe having someone ref for a team they used to play for is fair. It doesn't matter if both teams had a ref like that. It just isn't fair.

As I stated earlier the assigning secretary takes care of that. Fair or not that is not something the school has any control over.

I understand that. I just believe it needs to be done more fairly. Just my opinion, though.
#26
well I have to say that the players or coaches couldnt have been responsible for the theft because their job is to play and coach, so I dont see y LC had to go through our tunnel in which no visiting team is supposed to do(its posted)....and beating the tin with their fists and tearing down our signs....so if you say we're too redneck then how do you respond to this?

Not arguing that point at all. Just relaying information for everyone to understand how it works. We had an issue tonight in the Russell/Ashland game and the assigning secretary.
#28
We had a similar problem when I was in school, except that the entire officiating crew had strong links to the team we were playing. 2 of them went to school there years ago, one was even the head coach of the system's Jr. High...

Oh, right, game...

Oh how I wish we were playing PBurg again this year. Looks like it would be another classic game of the year in Pike County!

No one ever said the players/coaches were responsible. Prestonsburg school is though.

And I didn't see any of our fans ripping down signs or nor did I see them beating your "tin tunnel". I'm not saying they didn't. But, I didn't see it myself. And people will do things when they are upset of how our team was treating. It was sad. I saw many, many parents ready to find administrators and if they want to show they have a little class.. PBurg will replace the boys' belongings.

What's done is done.

Back to the game!
