I think we will be given a better game this time. It'll be by a confortable margin but only by 8 to 14 points. Getting pumped for the playoffs will be tough, Russell is way too laid back with all the talent in the world. Seems to me they don't tap into it until they have to. Hopefully this is what Fball means!!!! Anyone can get beat at anytime. Its all about the Attitude!

Actually I just meant its game week. The bye week got this one started a bit early.
Russell has at times seemed a little relaxed. Its playoff time now. I think this team has grown up alot throughout the season.

And to add a little to yours Fball, Russell always plays harder in the playoffs than they do in Reguler season.

Russells current record in district since 2000 is 46-4. I think that Russell will continue this year,,, how long I dont know.. Mason will be tough,,Breathitt will be tough and then Belfry wil be the game of the year, because if -IF we get by them that will be the game of the year.. I know lets play the Belfry- Russell game at the Commonwealth stadium, since it is the best game to go to.

Likely story. I think you are secretly hoping for East to beat Russell so your beloved Pirates won't have to run into them.

Personally Midee, I hope we do meet in the playoffs.I'll be a Russell fan at least until then LOL.You know the old saying,To be the best you gotta beat the best and beating Russell along the way would really make for a perfect season.

The two teams must first get through more teams that could possibly kick them out.
We will talk about those games when it gets around.

Take care of the job at hand first. First step Russell is East Carter. First step for Belfry is Magoffin.

I heard Cordle tore every ligament in his ankle. Anyone got any info on this? If this is true thats a tough loss for Russell, starting CB and only backup QB.

How many ligaments does he have in his ankle?? That would be a blow to the Devils if he is unable to play.

Nothing was broken. It's an ankle sprain and he's been rehabbing and hoping to be back next week.
P.S. He's not the "only" backup quarterback for Russell, but he is the best backup.

Over the weekend, I believe.

Let me guess he was out horseing around ?
11-06-2007, 11:00 PM
Probably, but I'm not 100% sure, so I hate to guess. He may have been helping an elderly woman across the street.

Lets hope its not too serious. They need him for the playoffs.

From what I understand he was playing backyard football when it happened, not very smart on his part to be doing that during the season. Who is the other backup?

It's playoff time and you want to send messages so lets set the tone with our defense as we have the last several years. I'd like to see no more than 1 TD per game for the opponents in the first 2 rounds. It can be done!!
