I asked Damen Hensly about something I heard, and Austin Stepp is going to be starting QB and Damen's gonna be running the ball. Dial's hurt his knee and I'm worried about it a little.. dont expect to see him much friday.
I don't believe this will come to fruition. This very rumor was the hottest topic spreading through the Martin County coal mines prior to last week's game.
If the kid really is injured then I feel bad for him that he has to miss such a big game, but I have a feeling it would take an act of Congress to keep Dials from playing against the Pirates.
One thing is for sure, Belfry will be preparing for SC, Dials or not.

Yeah, but I know Dial's personally and it's gonna take alot for him to not play...but his knee just doesnt look good. He's not going to a doctor cause he know's he wont let him play. Crazy how last weeks game me and some others on the sidelines mentioned it was lucky for him to not get injured this season, now he gets hurt in practice for the Belfry game. If it's up to Adam then he'll play, and he wants to play. But I doubt Hager will rely on him as much as he could. He's definatly not 100%.

I'll take SC for the win. But you always have to remember who's field your on. There were alot of bad calls made the last time. If they don't get some neutral refs in there, who knows what will happen. SC sure has enough heart to win. Good luck Cards.
VERY Nice Post! That was one of those eye rolling statements you quoted, cracked me up.

mrfootball03 Wrote:That is absolutely a ridiculous statement. Your first post, and you make a statement like that. The game was called fine, as a matter of fact, no one from SC on here even made that accusation, and here you come in here with that off the wall statement. Belfry isn't homecooking, so i'm sorry, try again. Besides, the game wasn't even close enough last time to where calls would have even made a difference.
Point is, Belfry is well coached, and is poised to take back whats been gone for two years. They have the heart, they have the skill, they have what it takes to get the job done. At this point, the easy games are out the door. It takes 110% every snap, and all four quarters. Phillip Haywood knows what it takes to get to Louisville, and you can guarantee he will not let a replay of the 1998 regional finals happen. Belfry is aware Sheldon Clark is going to turn up the heat and leave it all on the line, problem for the Cards is, Belfry will too. The Pirates are amped, and this is the first step to bring home the gold. The hunger is back in Pond Creek. Belfry has a game to win friday, take care of business.

Hagar learned everything he knows from Haywood...considering he actually played for Belfry....he knew a winning team when he saw it.

Personally, while I admire his heart and determination, if he has hurt his knee he shouldn't play. It really is not worth risking his future whether on the field or off. I really believe if its destiny the Cards would with or without him. He really is a fine athlete and it would be sad to see him miss what could be his final high school game. Hopefully its nothing serious.

I honestly hate to hear that! I hope he gets to play. It would be terrible for him to have to miss such a game as this! It could be his last high school game.

First and foremost I'm honestly thinking of him....... but 2nd I know we'll hear the excuses of , "if he had got to play".... when we win

Get well soon Dials

Dials will play. He's too much of a fanatic not to. I could see him hobbling up to the coin toss in full gear and a cast on his knee...
Either way it won't change the outcome, just the final score. As an adult, IMO, it's not worth risking a possible college scholarship over, this game. But when I was his age, NOTHING would have kept me from a game like this, short of a death in the family: MY OWN

Belfry is goin in to this game way to confident...i seriously think that this game will be an upset. Sheldon Clark wins by 1td (Adam Dials and Damen Hensley will have an awsome game )

I have seen Belfry play a few times and I have to agree. They throw the ball very, very rarely.

Actually heard it right from the mouth, from a coach from SC, with the initials SH, that he would play. He wont be 100% and he wont be playing defense but he will be in uniform and on the offensive side of the ball.
