Whats your predictions? Ill talk AC by 10
02-03-2008, 02:55 PM
The game will be broadcast on WPRT 960 & 104.5 FM Prestonsburg...THE TALK RADIO NETWORK...900/960/1400 & 104.5 FM.
Also online at www.ekytalk.com
Should be a very interesting game. As long as AC doen't slip into cruise control and allow Prestonsburg a chance to hang around, the Rebels should win this game.

It really depends on which Prestonsburg team shows up, the selfish one or the team one.
If everyone is playing selfish then I look for Allen Central too run away with this one. But if we're playing team ball then this could be a very good game... But I'll still take Allen Central by 10.
Prove me wrong Blackcats!

P-Burg by 4

Pburg doesnt stand a chance against AC in this one.....it doesnt matter where it is being played AC is just to good and pburg is just that bad....

I like AC in this one by 14. IMO AC is the class of the 58th and they should come out on top in this one by double digits. However, I think the Blackcats are more than capable of beating the rebels on any given night. This game could very well determine how the conference goes. Good luck to both teams !

A.C. by "17".
Apparently know one has control of this PBurg team. IMO
If BlackCats lose their Attitudes & get some bench play then, A toss-Up.

Big game, Johnny Martin knows that if they win this one they are in the drivers seat for the district and he will have them ready to play. AC by 12, Crum hits for 30.
02-04-2008, 03:32 PM
I don't think that Crum will get his numbers in this game due to the fact that one of the best defensive guards in the district maybe region will be guarding him, and thats Taylor Clark.
I think that this game will be a pretty low scoring one only getting into the 50-60 point range because so much is on the line in this game.
I've talked with some of the players today and they know that there underdogs and they also know that this is the biggest game of the year for them. This game has been the buzz around school today so I'd expect a big turnout from the Prestonsburg students.

well taylor clark was guarding him the last time they played and he had 28 and didn't play after the first 2 minutes of the last quarter.

No one knew who Aaron Crum was either. Plus they played a zone in that game.

No not to dispute you but i was at the game and taylor clark was on him man 2 man until crum got him in foul trouble and then they went 2 a zone crum had 5 3 pointers for 15 points and 13 points from the field and free throw line and 2 of his 3 pointers came while clark was on him

I don't think think it is going to come down to PBurg's Defense as much as it will PBurg's Offense & That is Very Suspect.

You could be right but the game was still in striking distance for the Blackcats and then Crum starting hitting his 3's, which lead too Allen Central pulling away, and he was wide-open every time he shot those 3's in the 4th quarter. Not making excuses for Clark but he was still in football shape during that part of the season, he and the other football players are in basketball shape now.
I'm not saying that Prestonsburg will win but its going to be a very close game IMO.
But we will find out tomorrow night.

You have to remember, that was only Crum's 3rd game with his new teamates and 3 of them were still in football shape as well. Only time will tell. Anybody now who the ref's are going to be?

True but Allen Central didn't go as far as Prestonsburg did in football. Prestonsburg played 3 more games and practiced for 3 more weeks.
02-04-2008, 04:04 PM
IMO conditioning didn't have that much to do with this game. It was early in the season for BOTH Teams. AC has played well as of late, PBurg has NOT.
02-04-2008, 04:09 PM
IMO, Prestonsburg is more than capable of winning this game. But Prestonsburg is just too inconsistent for me to even make a prediction on there games mostly because you don't know which team will show up.
If the offense runs through Nathaniel Stephens then the Blackcats have a chance at winning this one but if they start firing up the 3's then it could be a long night for the Blackcats.
Good luck too both.

I'm not sure how many playoff games pburg played but allen central did play 1 but as far as the basketball game went i don't think jordan hall going 1 for 12 from the 3 point line helped much either but it will be closer than the last time but i think AC will still win they are playing almost as good of team ball as anyone in the region right now but it will be a good game the refs will see to that

AC by 6

Good Luck Rebels. Keep working that ball and looking out for each other. Our team work keeps getting better. We need to come out with the same intensity tomorrow that we played with on Friday. NO CRUISE CONTROL GUYS!!! We've got to play hard from the tip off til the final buzzer sounds.
GO AC!!!!!!!!!
GO AC!!!!!!!!!
02-05-2008, 03:40 AM
I pick AC to win, not because of what the Rebels do, but more of what the Blackcats dont do. Blackcats still dribble way, way , way too much. You must learn to pass the ball guys, you cannot dribble around and be effective at all. On rebounding the Blackcats seem to "spectate" but they need to "participate". And guys quit worrying who is going to score, if you get your 25 and you lose you have still lost!! Become a team and you will turn it around, keep the status quo and you will have continued problems. JMO

AC In A Close One.
02-05-2008, 12:48 PM
This should be a very hard fought physical game. Few things P-burg has to worry about is shutting down Crum from beyond the 3-point line and closing up all gaps in the paint so Hammonds doesn't penetrate it to the hoop, he is one of the best at doing that. Again should be a great game, I am going with AC by 9.
02-05-2008, 05:03 PM
Lets see i'll take AC by 13.
Simply because if you take Aaron out of the game they stil have options that can still kill you with the Hammonds, Crowder boys, and Prater. But I would say Blackcats will try to come out firing on all cylinders because if they win this one it will but them in 1st place districtly. So theres Alot at stake here should be very exciting to attend.
