Look for Potter to be on the mound.
And by the district tourney time, both Potter and Puckett, will be done.

I was at the game and Potter didn't pitch. King pitched for JBS. I don't see Potter being overused and done by district. JBS has King, Adams, and others that can do well on the mound. Game was 1-0 Jenkins. Puckett did pitch for Jenkins. I see JBS getting better as the season goes, they were 1 hit away from winning it in the bottom of the last inning. Good game

Glad to see that Potter isn't being overused. He's a great pitcher with a lot of potential. With some great coaching, this kid could be a DI prospect.
As for Puckett, if I were the Pikeville College coach, I'd be calling Jenkins coach and Puckett's parents and tell them to wise up.

Potter is a great talent. He can be as good as he wants to be, but if he doesn't work at it he'll be just like all the other talented area players who had the talent but not the desire to work at it and get to that level.

What I don't understand is how he is pitching too much??!! The pitching rules for the KHSAA state this:
1-2 innings- 0 days rest
3-5 innings- 1 days rest
6 innings- 2 days rest
7 or more- 3 days rest
Here is Puckett's games and innings pitched this year:
Lee County March 24 3 innings
JI Burton March 27 7 innings
Perry Central March 31 8 innings
JBS April 7 7 innings
Looks like their coaches are getting him good work and not overusing him. He is pitching on regular rest and getting consistent work. I don't understand what the big deal is here!!!!

1st three weeks, Puckett pitched too much for the beginning of the season. In a span of one week, Puckett, pitched 18 innings. Can you tell me how many pitches he threw? Because that has something to do with the rules as well. Not just innings.

Your kidding right??? This isn't little league!! There is no rule that justifies a pitch count!!!

You are right, this isn't Little League. It isn't the majors either. 180+ pitches in two games is a bit much. I will predict that Puckett's arm will be jello by the end of the season. If, he is continued to be used like he is.
