We are going to the monster trucks. Not really to watch them that much, they are not that good in the smaller arenas, but my son wanted to watch the racing lawn mowers....

me too...that would be kinda neat
i went to that ribbon cuttin thing today...wow lets just say the expo center is huge...like i see it everyday drivin past it but its so much bigger then it looks...its ridiculous.
like it looks kinda like rupp and the inside arena part of it is like that too...
what they shoulda done is turned it into a ball court and get uk to come play sometime

It does turn into a basketball court, by why in the world would UK come play sometime? Who would they play?

Maybe they could just come and have like a open practice or something like that where people can be introduced to the layer and sign autographs but yet still get to see the boys in action even though its not a game....that sounds a little more reasonable.

old UK players come around here all the time and play in tournements. they could do one in Pikeville.

Unless there is a tourney or an adjacent college game during the same time, i don't see any single basketball games there due to the expense of installing and deassembling the floor.

. I have heard rumors about some NAIA tournaments there does anyone have any idea if these are true?

I'm pretty sure that Pikeville College is the host this year, and I would think that they would want to have it there instead of the college gym if they can.

The Mid-South Conference is tentatively scheduled there but has not been finalized.
There is also a possible HS bball tourney there in December.

That'd be cool if they were held there. Some of the schools don't have near enough parking to accomidate the crowd that the regional tourney brings in.

This would keep it from being so hot and so packed in there too. Everyone burns up and gets sick at the local gyms just becase we have to stand so close to one another, scream so loud, and have no air conditioning at the top level of the gym where the air is the hottest so I mean I am ALL for it.

I am too...it'd be awesome. I HATE going to distircts or region because it's so crowded and the parking situtation...so I'm all for more room!

LAST yr was a joke betsy layne DOESNT HAVE NEAR ENOUGH parking....they shoudl have it at Pburg or Shelby Valley....plenty of room on both places....

I agree Betsy Layne was a joke and parking was HORRIBLE! Prestonsburg gym is big enough but not enough parking for the crowd that it brings in...Region should at least be at the civic center but I agree cost will keep them from doing it.

Prestonsburg has PLENTY of parking....NO ONE parks in the parking lot by the river bank....IDK why.......i guess too lazy to walk up the hill or something.......but during basketball games people park along sidewalks or around school.....im telling you pburg has enough parking......trust me.....ask 15th

In all honesty this is going to sound so stupid but I didn't know that parking lot even existed until me and Balla was going to go to the game last friday and we drove down there to see if there was any parking...so yeah now that I think about it they do have enough I forgot about that parking lot.
