:thatsfunn:thatsfunn You raised the bar APB.
BTW....Alcoa pushed OakRidge all over the field in yesterdays scrimmage.
Simple toss right, toss left, and trap block up the gut. OR could not stop it. Even with 5 in the box and the LB's as tight as you can get them. I think Rankin made his point. Varsity won 24-0. OR probably did not have 50 yards of offense in 2 qtrs of play. Pretty dominating for a 2A team against a 6A team.
I except a lot of the same on the 21st!

From the sounds of the Alcoa folks they need to not worry about Bell. They should be focusing on Maryville. What is the record of those 2 teams head 2 head in the last decade??????
Does Alcoa have a roster online?

WM.........Maryville had the Nations longest winning streak up to their loss in the championship game last December. 74-0. The Maryville Rebels where ranked as high as 12th in the nation in some polls such as Scouts, Rivals, USAtoday, etc.
Alcoa over the last couple of years has played Maryville as hard as anyone. Last years matchup was a battle til the 4 qtr. with Maryville pulling out a 6 point win at home. Maryville's streak goes all the way back to 2002. The last time Alcoa beat Maryville was `2000. Alcoa went 15-0 and won the 2A state championship. Maryville won the 4A state championship that same year.
Maryville is a close cross town rival. Alcoa always wants to beat Maryville, but for Alcoa it does not stand in their way to winning championship within the classification. Alcoa has around 500 students, and they play way over their size. They scrimmaged two 6A programs and one 5A programs recently, having no problem running the ball right at them. Alcoa is used to playing Giant killers, and will be fired up big time to play 15-0 4A state champs Bell Co.
No roster available yet. I'll have one after the jamboree Friday night.

So true, both the 6A teams, IMO, are bigger better teams then Bell Co. The 5A team is probably similar to size of Bell............Alcoa whips Bell in the trenches!
PS. glad to see you pull for Alcoa on your team favorites!

You are saying that OR and FGUT have better football teams than Bell? Reading up on OR they're a mess right now. They can't keep a kid because they're always going to jail or being supended. And, half of what's left don't even want to play or can play. Have you ever seen Bell play? You guys tooting Alcoa's horn began asking had any of us seen you all play. Have you seen Bell Play? No you haven't.
And let's make something very clear, check out Ft. Thomas Highlands rankings along with St. X and Trinity year in and year out. You do not rank above them nationally. Get your facts straight. We were once in Ft. Thomas' class and if it wasn't for them we would have 7,8,9 or 10 state title banners hanging up on Log Mountain. Just come on up and see if you can physically push us around.

Whoever told you Hopkinsville was one of the elite's in Ky. was blowing smoke up something of your's. They're nowhere close to being in the top 20 in KY. year in and year out. I am sure Alcoa has an excellent team but don't sell us short. We won't lay down and let you score at will. Players have a tendency to slow down once they get their cage rattled a few times. I promise you your boys will experience that.

Alcoa WILL PHYSICALLY PUSH BELL COUNTY AROUND! Clear enough easyM?
Alcoa will run the football down Bell's throat! Remember #2,#15,#29 they will be running wild!
Bell will NOT have 200 yards of offense for the entire game.:moon:

The only thing that kept Alcoa from scoring 70+ on Hopkinsville was the home grown refs! I expect the same on log mtn. because that the ONLY way Alcoa does not score 40+ points.
You don't need to lay down and let Alcoa score.....they are going to run over you like a bulldozer!
There will be 80+ Alcoa players coming to log mtn. They are going to wear down, and beat on you guys til Alcoa's Coach calls off the dogs to let some deserving freshman play:biggrin:

That's why KY high school football can not be compared to much more dominate TN high school football.
47 players team are typical of 1A or 2A teams here in TN. Alcoa runs thru 2A teams like poop thru a goose.

How do you figure that? What do you have to base that on? And you keep mentioning 80 players coming to Log Mtn. Do you think a team hasn't brought 80 up there before? Ft. Thomas has brought 80 or more and so did Lexington Catholic. Ask either of them did they push us around the last time they played us on the mountain. The only way possible for you to push them around is by putting all 80 on the field at once to go against our 47 you keep mentioning. Is that plain enough for you? We'll see if their line will push our line around. Do I think Alcoa has a heck of a football team? Yes I do. Will they push Bell around? We'll see. I would like to meet you before the game and then after to discuss how bad Bell got pushed around by the naders.

You're seriously confused! We don't give out as many jerseys as Alcoy does just to look good. Bring your bulldozer on up and run right over us. Does Maryville have a bulldozer? I'd like to borrow their's for the game. It has to be better than Alcoy's.

I don't need a history lesson on either team. I have seen them many times over the last 25 years or so. I used to recruit the area. :eyeroll:I was just wanting the facts of the head to head lately. I would love to see a roster for both teams? I can't find 1 for Bell either?

I'll find you a Bell roster. But to hear these other guys, we have no players worth watching. You know, we're a a little 1a or 2a team in Tn if they moved us there. But, I'll work on finding you one.
