I think this game will be a lot better then what most people expect saying SC will beat LC by 3-4 td's just isn't going to happen. SC only beat them by 2 td's last year, and this year's team is bigger, stronger, faster, and they are playing with a chip on their shoulder. They have something to prove, so I'm going with my heart on this one and say that LC is going to come out fired up after having two weeks to prepare for this game and upset SC

Lawrence county has to be better than last year and it should be a good game but the defense of the cards will have to step up again. I see a close game with sc winning 20 - 12. By the way the score was 30 - 12 last season, thats 18 and three touchdowns.

Sheldon Clark is coming off a huge emotional win over Breathitt. I have a feeling they won't bring the same intensity to the Dawg Pound. I'll take Lawrence County in a battle.

Yeah sorry about that, that is 18 points and 3 touchdowns but they didn't get any of the 2 point conversions or extra points or what?
Can't wait for the game Friday, these two teams are ready to go, Cards haven't seen anything like #1 for the Bulldogs, he is the real deal. Go Dawgs!!

And you have to remember they just shut down a SEC running back last week . They jury is still out on #1 but I feel safe in saying he isn't going to play in the SEC next year. So let's let him do his own talking Friday night . But I agree he sure does look like an player. GO DAWGS

I would like to see LC to throw a quick out pass or pass to a back out of the
backfield to keep SC from crowding the line of scrimmage.
you have to keep the defense honest!

I just heard that the transfer from Nitro will not be eligible for Friday's game. Seems he was just ruled eligible Thursday and there is no way he can get in the mandatory 10 days.

This is what i was thinking if he got cleared then there is no way he will have his 10 days in and did he still play for Nitro when the scrimmaged SC a few weeks ago>

Sheldon Clark will continue to make believers out of people and gain much deserved respect.

That KHSAA rule is intended to make sure an athlete has sufficient time to acclimatize to heat and rigors of the sport. In this case, the boy has already done that (in WV).
By the letter of the rule, he'll be ineligible. But by the spirit of the rule, he could play.

The Cards have shown the tendency over the years to have a "letdown" after a big win. They cannot afford to fall into that trap.

people are thinking LC is going to put up 20-30 points and breathitt couldn't get any. uh don't see it.

All of you are incorrect with the transfer from Nitro. He decided to come to LC way back in the summer time, and has been trying to get eligible for quite sometime. I couldnt tell you if he is playing this friday or not, either way your gonna see a new team than last year. I would love to see him suit up but LC still has great backs with Shane Pack carrying the load, Hunter James has one of the best field visions out of anyback ive ever seen, Lance Clay is shifty and can move. Dont get me wrong i would love to see #1 this Friday he looks like the real deal. But SC hasnt played him in a scrimmage, he was comin to LC back in July. With all that being said i cant wait till Friday night its gonna be packed in Louisa, this town is ready for bulldog football to be back like it was.

I wish I knew the players name instead of referring to him as a number the entire time LOL
08-31-2009, 09:41 PM
His name is Larry West, and he was out practicing with the Bulldogs today, but I'm not sure whether or not he is playing Friday. Eitgher Way Lawrence still has a lot of talent.Should be a dandy of a ball game.

Well just to clear some things up.. He was not with Nitro when they scrimmaged SC.. He has been here for several months and this is how sorry the KHSAA is taking this long to rule on the young man.. But with or with out him LC will be just fine running the ball. We have several and I mean several back that we can throw into the mix. Our O and D line are much improved.... A win or loss its not the end of the season and we will have several more games to play. Good luck to both teams and go Dawgs.

I've been told that the dawgs have several out this week due to the flu. I hope this isn't the case. I know they canceled the girls soccer and volley ball games last week. Whats the report from the cards camp about this flu thing going around? You guy's have any one down with this thing?

We had a few ppl sick last week but everyone is good this week.

So far we have not had any out with the flu, but we were told that one of your JV players that played here last night was running a fever over 102 and the coach made him play. I do not think that was very wise.

The Bulldogs are going to have the bird flu after Friday night when the Cardinals roll to another win.

:popcorn:Just wondering about the L.C team this yr, when playoff time, IF Bell vs L.C what kind of game WOULD it be????? I'm getting WAY ahead here I know just looking towards PLAYOFF TIME, What about Boyd Co??

The Cardinals are going to have more than the flu after they leave Louisa with a L in the win column. They better bring some tylenol, because they are going to get hit all night. Can't wait to get this one going, these two teams are only 20 mins apart, a lot of these boys know each other really well and some of them dont like each other, should make for a exciting game.Go Dawgs!!
And SC by the way welcome to the DAWG POUND!!

Actually my info came from a teacher at your school. So I kind of tend to believe her. I also know that a young child from Lawrence County has been diagnosed with the swine flu. But, hopefully everyone is well enough to play Friday.

You guys talk about SC being overconfident after a big win, but it sounds to me like the dawgs are the ones overconfident. All I can say is that both teams better be ready to play. I know the Cards are ready and can't wait to show the dawgs how we play.
09-01-2009, 03:00 PM
The Dawgs know how Sc plays, they are very familiar with them. They have stuided Sc for quite some time now and are fully prepared for them. I was just responding to the person saying Lc is going to have the bird flu after Friday, it's all in good fun no harm meant by anything. I like watching both teams play, they both are exciting and hard nosed. There was a case of swine flu in the school system, but I was watching WYMT-Tv last week and they said there was a case in the Martin County school system also with an adult having it. So I'm sure there are a lot of schools having problems with it right now, thats not the point we are here to talk about football. I"m almos 100% percent sure every team in the state has atleast one boy out because of the flu. Let's play some football people, gotta love the mountain spirit. The DAWG POUND is ready for Friday Night.

I hope both team's are at full strength Friday night Because win lose or draw this will tell us were we are at with the program. we all know SC has a very good team and this should be a good measureing stick for the Dawgs.
