Ashland not near as good as Ironton, Russell should be able to compete next week.

I'd say your right about ashland not as good as ironton, but they are pretty tough this year and i still think it's bad move scheduling them back to back....Russell will probably come out of that 2-2 and just hope they don't have any injuries

I think Ironton runs a basic straight T, double tight type offense and Russell is the wing-t

I'm not saying they don't ahve a chance b/c i've seen teams in that rival game over the years that weren't better than the other on Russell and Ashland both and the less talented win, but I still think it was bad scheduling by Russell and I do think Ashland is the team to beat this year in the area on this side of the ohio

Just got back from the Russell game after watching an intereting first half. I see why football on the other side of the river is what it is. Ironton is like a machine. They beat the snot out of us. Plan and simple.

I don't know about that statement....not to mention completely unprovable, but you all seem to think i'm downing Russell and i'm not...i'm just looking at from an objective standpoint...Ashland has a solid team this year and Russell will still be good, but they are definitely down from the last few years...it goes in cycles...i'll be happy as jaybird if the Devils beat Ashland and Mason....i don't know anything about Mason Co. yet, but they traditionally have solid athletes and i'd say if you combined them with Ashland they would be tough team to beat...but that's something can't happen so kind of futile to even talk about...
