With Belfry at 1-2 they are probably some Belfry fans checking themselves into the hospital right now. Because to them Belfry isn't suppose to lose.

On a serious note I think that Phillip Haywood found out what his team is made of. The hard schedule is paying off for this team . I feel that Belfry wins this week against Letcher.

The Ashland game I feel is a game that they will build there season around.

Love the Pirates, but LCC proved they are for real. The Cougars win. If they played in six weeks Belfy wins.

Hazard is not proof. Anyway you cut it they are a single A team and to be where you want to be you have to beat them. South Laurel is a very weak 5A. You didn't know how bad they would be so can't hold that against LCC. Middlesboro has proven they are down. Belfry game will go a little way in proving, but Belfry is way down. Whitley will be your measuring stick. Playoffs will also tell the tell. I don't think LCC has proven anything just yet.

When I picked Ashland to win last week I thought it would be two touchdowns. After falling behind by 14 Belfry came back against a very good Ashland team. The offense is coming around. The defense needs a leader. They are improving. Going into the season with the difficult schedule and the loss of 13 seniors it was going to be a long shot for the Pirates go 9-1, 8-2. Belfry is fine . Haywood will have this team firing on all cylinders by posteason. Cuppett I am calling Shelby Valley games this year.

I take Belfry! Not so sure they are as down as most would like to think. Belfry by 7. LCC should not be overlooked.

This should be a really good game. Letcher Central has built a very solid program in a short time. They deserve a lot of respect. You know when you face a Hillard Howard team, they will be prepared. I like the way Belfry has improved each week. This week, the improvement turns into a victory in a fantastice game. Belfry 28-Letcher Central 27. Good Luck to both teams.

Going back to the proven theirselves thing about LCC. Thus far they have only proven far more vulnerable than i would like to think. If they do not get it in gear then you can count another loss to PCC this year and that would suck!!

The Pirates are getting much better week after week, but the tough schedule still is doing them no favors. If this game was at the CAM I would have enough confidence to predict a Pirate "upset", but seeing this will be at LCC, and this game will have huge ramifications for LCC in terms of the direction of their program, I think the Cougars pull out a phsyical, hard fought victory.

Had Belfry defeated Ashland it would have surprised me, if Belfry pulls this one out it would not surprise me so much.

I said this in the Belfry/Ashlanbd recap thread and will emphasizeit again.. the biggest key to the enxt two Belfry games is STAY HEALTHY.

According to the posters and their statements about the LCC team and the weakness of their schedule, if LCC wins then it will be an upset. I don't see Perry Central winning at LCC this year. South Laurel, Middlesboro, and Hazard are high caliber compared to Casey County and Knott County. You could consolidate Casey County and Knott County and Jenkins would still give them a good game.

The second half has been Belfry's best half in every game this season. Not sure on exact stats but I would be willing to say that they have outscored opponents in the second half 2-1. If LCC wants to stay in it... better have a big first half.

If you look at us, we have played better football in the second half also. We tend to start out slow, and finish hard. The Hazard game was the only game that we went down there and scored in the first possession. We have to convert 3rd downs, and stop 3rd down conversion. If we can do that, then we will win this game. But we can't start slow against a team you still can't count out in this game.
