Balloon Believed To Be Carrying Child
#1
Did anyone see the news covering this helium balloon believed to have been carrying a 6 year old boy today? I watched the coverage while it was still in the air, as it landed, and as they searched for him inside of the craft. Forunately, he was back in his garage at home and had never left the ground. I was very confused as to how he would have gotten inside of it in the first place or if had an attachment that he would have been in instead.

Since it wasn't posted in here I was just curious if anyone else had saw the story and what your thoughts were on it.

That boy would have a busted tail if mine!
#3
Aww, he was just scared of getting in trouble from his dad so he hid. Poor thing
#4
Again, that boy would have a busted tail if mine, lol!

I didn't catch the coverage when they found him in his garage but am I correct in guessing that he had something to do with the balloon being released in the first place and hid from his parents for fear of them being upset?
#6
I think he did turn it lose by accident and that is why he wouldn't come out for them.
#7
Yeah, that is what has been reported on the news

LOL!!!

The family was on Larry King Live and they asked the boy a question, his dad repeated it to him and the little boy said "You said....(long pause) that we did this for show."

BUSTED!!!

OMG, social services needs to get involved in this.

Later in the interview Wolfe asked them about the comment. The father was angered by them suggesting it was a hoax.

From what I am seeing on TV, it seems the whole truth isn't being told.

of that's a good one. Love the dad trying to spin and change the answer around

I called BS on this story once I found out he wasn't in the balloon yesterday.

Reports are saying he hid in the rafters of the garage. The rest of the family counted down together 3-2-1 and released the ballon thinking it was tied down.( wink wink )

The sheriff says criminal charges will be filed soon.

Quote:FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A sheriff said he was pursuing criminal charges in Colorado's "balloon boy" saga, which first sparked fear for the child, then relief that he was OK and now suspicions of a hoax.

Deputies searched the home of the boy's parents Saturday night, carrying away several boxes and a computer.

The parents, Richard and Mayumi Heene, met with Larimer County investigators for much of Saturday afternoon amid lingering questions about whether he perpetrated a publicity stunt when his 6-year-old son Falcon vanished into the rafters of his garage while the world thought he was zooming through the sky in a flying saucer-like helium balloon

Ok, I just watched the video and their answers make NO SENSE! What does him wanting to buy candy or running behind have to do with him hiding?!

Press conference on now and it looks like charges are being filed. It has been decleared a HOAX.
#19

Charges are filed. The police interviewed both of the parents separately and unannounced to get the whole story and it is believed that polygraphs were administered before charges were pressed. I can't remember the details of exactly what charges were filed but I'm sure you can find it online if interested. They were mentioned during the press conference with police yesterday.
