Congrats Belfry. Tonight I seen a very young East Ridge play with all they had. I believe ER had 240 yd on the ground. One day everything is going to click there and a beast will be unleashed but until then congrats Pirates and good luck on the rest of your season!

Not too much to this game. Good job by Belfry. Starters have one offensive play in the second half and score on a 60 yard TD from Tyler Williams to Corey Charles. 260 yards plus on the ground on 26 carries. ER played hard and made a couple of nice plays, but they were overwhelmed. The clock ran in the second half and that was it. Now the real season begins with the JC game and the playoffs.

Were we watching the same game? ER may have had 100 yards total and that included about a 30 yard pass. They had one nice KO return and they had a nice drive aided by a horse collar penalty. They did not have a first down for the first few drives. They had some nice players, but just not enough of them.

I was not intendeing to shoot the messenger, but let's be real. Anyone could watch that game and see that ER did not have 240 yards rushing. Maybe it was Belfry's stats someone was looking at. ER did have a few nice runs and 1 good pass.

If they did it was all in the 2nd Half against the JV. You can read back through my first half updates and see ER was lucky to have maybe 70 yards total in the 1st Half.
