Love see Phelps won again tonight.

Congrats Hornets.
Sorry to see a season, be decided by a penalty with 30secs. left.
Roughing the Passer on SF, the tackler was no more than 2 feet away, already committed by having lunged forward for the sack, hits the QB no more than .3 secs later after the pass, and the flag flys.
Great Effort Raiders and Congrats again Hornets.

Exactly.
They bring back their QB, 2 out of 3 running backs, every WR and 3 or 4 of the 5 linemen.
Also, their Middle School C team, went undefeated this year.

Also, didnt help that after SF scored the TD to take the lead with alil over a min. left. The lights go out for nearly 20mins. or so and completely drained all the momentum and life out of what was a very hyped up crowd and team.

great game....Proud of the way our team (SF) fought back from 14-0...to take the lead 16-14....Really good effort, just fell a little short....

Well congrats to Phelps. Hate to see them win though..

Congrats to the Hornets and all the coaching staff.... They have prepared hard all week even with all the illness runnin rampid and endured!!
I listened to the end of this game on the radio on the way back from the Belfry/ER game..... Did I hear correctly when I heard that SF went into their locker room when the "lights went out" after a snap and Phelps stayed on the sidelines/field?

Yes, you heard correctly, thats the 2nd or 3rd time SF's lights have went out this year.
But, what are you implying here?

Yes they did go to the locker room.... The lights have went out a couple of times this year..... Phelps had the option to go as well, there locker room was open..... I think the Lights going out killed SF.... They had all the momentum when it happened..... Oh well.... The roughing the passer call at the end was B.S........ He hit him as he was throwing the ball, and the flag was not thrown until the ref saw that the ball was incomplete.....

omg good job Phelps that was the best game i have every seen..go one phelps.

Way to go Hornets!!
And the Roughing call was not BS...that was one of the very FEW calls they called all night. Do you honestly think the refs gave it to us. GET REAL!!
Keep your Heads up SF

Not implying anything.... BUT, don't you think that SF would have been better off by staying on the field? Who knows....????
Can anyone post the "penalty" stats on this game? I was wondering since several seem to think the roughing the passer call was a joke.....
WHY do they not do something to remedy the light situtation on the field. I know I heard them talking about the lights going out on one game and they pulled cars up, turned the lights on and finished the game that way. Seems to me like the BOE should step in and help this program out and fix the lights so that this doesn't happen again!!!

The only penalty in the 1st half was a false start by South Floyd for either team. Phelps had a holding penality called against them in the 4th quarter. Both teams had personal fouls penalties that were off-setting in the 2nd half. Excluding the personal foul call, I believe Phelps had a hold and a false start called against them the entire game.
As for the roughing the passer call - it was bogus. The lineman hit Page just as the ball was flying out of his hands. There was no way the SF lineman could've stopped. That penalty is what zapped South Floyd, not the lights going out. That call gave Phelps 1st and 10 from inside the 30 and two plays later, they scored on the a beautiful 16-yard TD pass to Smith.
South Floyd had Phelps 4th and 3 at midfield and the Hornets mustered 5 yards to save the final drive and the season, before the roughing the passer call. That's great football. Don't tell me South Floyd was drained because the lights went dark.
Congrats to Phelps and good luck in the postseason. Also, congrats to Jesse Peck as he continues to layout a positive path for Phelps football.
And that's what happened, "The Night the Lights Went Out in Hi Hat."

Nobody said that when the lights went out they were drained....... They had all the momentum when the lights went out with 1:50 left in the game and were pumped up like no other after they scored to take the lead... When they came out after the 40 minute delay they weren't pumped like they were...... Thats all....

Exactly, it was a bogus call..... The flag wasn't even thrown until after the ref saw that the pass was incomplete....
Another thing I couldn't understand was the last play call....... Why did they go for a screen pass with 9 seconds left? Should have went down field especially when you have no timeouts left, Should have singled one person out and went for it in the endzone.......jmo.....
