I think that this is really stupid to do after just one season! Sure cal can recruit...I think they should wait atleast 4 or 5 years to do this...If he makes that long at UK with no violations or anything, i say sign him for life....I think this is what happend with bill g....they signed him for to long and he gets his money and doestn even coach the full length

Everyone knows where the program has been the last few years & the turnaround it made this year. Add that with Cal reloading with top recruits year in and year out..... Yeah, makes perfectly good sense to me!

Love this. I though that coaches can still up and decide to leave if they want to but I do think that this is a big step to make sure that Cal knows that he is appreciated as the coach of the Bluegrass' team. I think that Cal ends up staying for at least 10 years but if this deal gets worked out then I would be even more confident.

If I was Prez Todd or Barnhardt, I'd tell Cal before we could rework his contract that he needed to sign a power forward of UK starting. He's wiffed on 3 post targets, which we seriously need one to even have a starting lineup. The man can recruit but if he's not careful we're going to be playing with 4 guards in the lineup for the next few years.

Makes perfect sense to sign a coach that has had 2 final fours stripped of his resume...That doesnt make sense to me to sign him after just one season

Ok. Enough with the Final 4s being stripped, cause he didn't have anything to do with either case. Yeah, he was the coach when it happened and it went on his resume. He was found of no wrongdoing in either situation. You haters continue to throw that up in discussions, cause other than that you have nothing....
