^ Wow CE, I have been buying my batteries at Wal-Mart for the last 5 years. I've not noticed issues, but I had not been looking for them either.

Does this Wal-Mart have a service center? If not, is there one near by? I would at least start with their service manager and ask if they would look at the car for you, them even footing the bill to have it towed there. I can honestly say, though the Wal-Mart staff is not on the high-end of the educated lot, they have been pretty agreeable to most requests when it comes to service here in NKY.

Yes, when I took the old battery back to them, I took it to the automotive service center. I dealt with the head guy over the service department at first, then the manager over the service department. Both were a-holes.
