This is a link to the short form. Note the absence of any signatures and name of any hospital. My understanding is that in the past, people who had babies not born in Hawaiian hospitals were free to request certificates of live births.

Without a signed copy of the birth certificate on record, it certainly would have been possible, albeit improbable, that Obama was born in Kenya and his parents returned to Honolulu immediately after his birth and requested a certificate of live birth. The thing that made this even more improbable was the discovery that a birth announcement was published shortly after Obama's birth in a Honolulu newspaper.

I don't believe much of anything that passes Obama's lips but the 1961 published birth announcement convinced me that it was extremely unlikely that he was born in Kenya. Regardless, Obama's response to demands that he make the signed, long form birth certificate public was extremely strange, and to borrow his new favorite word, "silly."

Is that not the same short form I posted? It, as well as mine tells the city,county, and island that he was born on.

Instead of trying to "spin", like all the birthers do, why not admit that his certificate of live birth is exactly the same as a birth certificate. HI calls their birth certificates , certificates of live birth.
