Hundreds to be Unemployed in Hazard
#5
I am sorry to hear this news but not surprised. Just this week, I traveled from DC to Charlotte for an interview, then to Kentucky for a day of rest, and on to Bowie, Maryland for an interview this morning, and back home to northern Virginia this evening for a phone interview for a job in Akron.

There are good job openings in this country for a person who sees relocation as an adventure but if you live in an area with a high unemployment rate and want to stay in the same area, it is often tough to find work.

For young single people who are willing to move and who have friends (potential roommates) interested in doing so, I recommend that you consider the DC area. Housing costs are high, which is where the roommates come into play, but jobs are plentiful compared to most other parts of the country and if you live and work near Metro stations getting around the DC Metro area is a breeze.
