As an individual, all one can do is avoid areas where racist mobs are most likely to frequent, especially after dark. Otherwise, shame and ridicule is probably the best way to deal with these attacks. The mayor of Philadelphia, who is an African-American himself has begun to speak publicly to the black thugs in his city who have been involved in numerous black on whit mob beatings. More community leaders need to follow his lead because unfortunately, racist thugs seem oblivious to criticism by anybody who does not share their skin color.

These mobs should be publicly ridiculed and rejected at every public event possible. And if whites start attacking African Americans, that should be ridiculed and rejected at every public event as well. It's important to not let this grow into something much worse. If our economy is truly about to get worse, one of the last things our country could handle is widespread racist violence. We have to ridicule this violence so that we can have peace, especially for peace during tough economic times that could be coming soon.

If your an African American, please ridicule and reject these violent attacks. If your a white American, please be ready to ridicule and reject any violent attacks if they occur (and hopefully they won't).
