I want to put my two cents worth in on the controversy of an administrator coaching. I could support that if it were a hard fast rule but the way it was handled lacks putting the students first. As far as the reason being for attendance, that is like trying to get someone out for parking in the wrong space. There is a position called director of pupil personnel, which is the chief attendance officer for a school district. If Floyd Co. doesn't have one then they need to get one. Charge this loss to the central office for causing an unnecessary distraction and penalize the top brass 15 yards for unsportsmanlike administration.
