You are correct on several things you posted. Cov Cath QB is very good on 5-10 yard passing game, but not very good past the 10 yard throw. HHS DB's much, much better than Dixie's. Dixie did not do a lot on O. Most of their big plays came on busted plays where Pike scrambled and threw back across field (good teams will intercept these passes), or ran over smaller players. Dixie looked real bad trying to defend long pass plays (no coverage up the middle) and quick outs to the WR's.

Dixie was playing 8 yards off the ball all night. Why chuck the ball down the field when you got a free 6 anytime you want it and in the second half why throw the ball at all. Anyone's db's are better than Dixie so that isn't saying much.
