I'm disappointed as a Sheldon Clark fan, but let us think how Coach Hager and the Sheldon Clark team feels. As Ronnie Hickman wrote this past week in his column, and I'm probably going to paraphrase a little: it's a football game, not a matter of life and death. Well said, my friend.

I like Ronnie but I have to disagree with most of what he said in last weeks sideline comments. I don't want to teach our kids not to try in life, not to have passion for something, and not to get upset about things. Sometimes you have to get upset about something. It might not be life or death but this is where character is built. That is what Hager's teams are missing right now......Heart.

Ronnie also said the common saying from Hager. This is a non district games. What really matters is the district. I hate this thought pattern. You can not magically flip a switch and know how to win come district time.
