Is Chicken Fighting Part of Our Heritage?
#50
I haven't been a fan of this since the first time I attended, when I walked into a room full of nothing but dead/almost dead roosters getting thrown into the fire...I've seen alot worse, we all have, but I just wasn't to into that.

On the other hand, they are damn roosters. These specific roosters are born to kill shit. They aren't dogs, or cats, or dolphins, or whatever other cool animal you can think of...it's not comparable to dog-fighting, it's just not.

And that "it's are heritage!!!" nonsense is bullshit. Really, does anyone think that ole' Joe Balls down the holler fights roosters because his granddaddy and granddaddy before that fought them? No...it's for money, and that's about it.

Like I said, I'm not a fan of it, but in the end, they are just a bunch of chickens that like to kick ass. I don't care about dead roosters, or "tortured" roosters cut up, or whatever kind of nasty combination you want to create...I just don't care, they're just chickens, that's it. Not dogs, not lions, not monkeys.....we talkin' bout chickens.

That's my opinion on it...not a fan, but to be perfectly honest, I do not care about the lives of chickens.
