Covington Catholic Colonels at Ashland Paul Blazer Tomcats
Hoot Gibson Wrote:Excellent point, and a point that is lost on a few of the Highlands fans. To them, a NKY team that challenges Highlands just has to be heads and shoulders above anybody else in Highlands' class. The same people were predicting last season that CovCath would hammer JC based on the fact that the Birds struggled with the Colonels. It took a very good team to handle JC late in the regular season, to easily beat Ironton, and to hold Belfry to one touchdown on the road. I don't think that any team in 4A is capable of going to Ashland and blowing out the Tomcats - and that includes Highlands.

FTH won't have to come to Ashland. The game will be at Fort Thomas and is most likely to involve FTH and CovCath. JC played FTH close at Paintsville. That would not likely have been the case on a neutral field and certainly not at Fort Thomas. JC beat CovCath 41-28 last year at Paintsville. That would not have been the case elsewhere. Ashland's only chance of beating CovCath is the location of the game.

If you people want FTH to lose you better root for CovCath. Neither of the other two have the chance of a snowball in you know where to compete with FTH- particularly away from their own snakepits.
