The 1983 Corbin team was arguably the best Corbin team in the 80's. They were dominate that year and undefeated until losing to Somerset 7-6, therefore missing the playoffs. Corbin went up and down the field that night, but Somerset was able to keep them out of the endzone all but once. A player from that team recently told me that Somerset only had a couple of first downs the entire game, but Tony Massey broke a long run for a score and that was all Somerset needed on this night. i believe Somerset went on to finish as runner-up that year. There were several DIV 1 and DIV 1AA players on the field that night between the 2 teams.
