Covington Catholic Colonels at Ashland Paul Blazer Tomcats
Truth Wrote:FTH won't have to come to Ashland. The game will be at Fort Thomas and is most likely to involve FTH and CovCath. JC played FTH close at Paintsville. That would not likely have been the case on a neutral field and certainly not at Fort Thomas. JC beat CovCath 41-28 last year at Paintsville. That would not have been the case elsewhere. Ashland's only chance of beating CovCath is the location of the game.

If you people want FTH to lose you better root for CovCath. Neither of the other two have the chance of a snowball in you know where to compete with FTH- particularly away from their own snakepits.
Johnson Central had a much better team than CovCath last season (and the season before as well). Location had little to do with the score. Obviously, home teams have an advantage in the playoffs but not to the extent that you seem to believe. FYI, Johnson Central currently owns a three game winning streak against CovCath and last year's game was the closest of the three. The Golden Eagles dominated the game last season and Mr. Jude rushed for over 400 yards against the Colonels. Home field advantage would not have swung the outcome of that game.

The Ashland-CovCath should be a very good game. This is probably the best Tomcats team in at least the past 6 years. They are a senior dominated team that has risen to meet every challenge that they have faced this season. They are not going to lie down just because Covington Catholic is from NKY. I am sure that their attitude is that if JC's best teams of the past 5 seasons have all beaten the Colonels, then their team is also capable of representing the district very well.
