I remember watching Steve Bird of Corbin,Tuck Woolum of Pineville playing for EKU on TV against Murray State. If I'm remebering correctly both had great performances in the big win. Not sure of the year,maybe '79 for the national championship,but it sure was a great game. I was thinking David Hensley of Cawood was on that team but not sure.

The '82 season was the year Tuck Woolum started for EKU as a fifth-year senior and Steve Bird was an All-American WR. They won the national title that year and yes, they did play a couple different TV games . . . back when WTBS of Atlanta was getting started on cable.
