Covington Catholic Colonels at Ashland Paul Blazer Tomcats
Truth Wrote:Are you actually saying that a FTH-Ashland matchup would be the "real state championship" in Class 4A? Surely not. That is absurd. It is fine to be a partisan but at least be a bit of a realist. Not only are FTH and Ashland not on the same page in football, they aren't even in the same library. Your only chance tonight to beat CovCath is your home field advantage.

Now, on the other hand, FTH-CovCath could be a state championship type game although I believe FTH would win by a goodly margin.
If Ashland beats CovCath tonight, then there will be absolutely no reason to think that the Tomcats will be a less formidable regional finals opponent than the Colonels. In a close game, the home field advantage often comes into play, but points-wise it is not that big a factor. The best team will win tonight's game. Period.
